Top notch campground that is managed by professional and friendly staff who genuinely want your stay to be wonderful. So much thought and clever design in the campsite and grounds design. As a loyal, life long provincial park user, I was blown away by this lovely gem.

Be VERY wary of this campground! They'll kick you out after all the gas stations are closed and darkness has occurred. 2 hours away before you'll find an open gas station! They say you've got to leave and you'll have to leave. Police have to enforce even though they know it's shameful behavior on the part of management.

if you have a large size family DO NOT BOOK. Had a booking for weeks and it got canceled by management A WEEK before because they don’t allow “group camping”even though we had separate sites& bookings,We were told we won’t be accommodated for. Handled very unprofessionally and caused a major inconvenience as it was canceled so last minute . Now as we are scrambling a week before trying to re sort it all I Will NOT be booking here or recommending to any friends/family.*does not state anywhere on site about large families / group booking isn’t aloud*

Horrible experience. Don’t go here, overpriced for what you get, and rude and unprofessional staff. We arrived late on Friday and wanted to have a fire to cook dinner, but the fire pit had no grille. Had to go to an overpriced restaurant instead. As soon as the sun goes down you have to run for your life because the mosquitos are ravenous. You can’t stay out after dark unless you wear full-body netting. The following afternoon we were rudely spoken to by an older man who claimed he works at the park, we were so upset by the interaction that we decided to leave that instant. On our way out, we explained the situation and the lady at the front desk refused to refund us the second night. She was aware of the aggressive behaviour of the older man, didn’t apologize or take any responsibility, and spoke rudely and aggressively. If you like rules, being spied on, accosted verbally by belligerent staff, and made to feel completely uncomfortable, definitely stay here. If not, look elsewhere. Not a family or dog friendly park.FYI. Make sure you book weeks in advance if you want to do anything in Tobermory, and expect to pay over $30 a day on parking to access the parks. Apparently you need to book months in advance to get on the ferry.

We travelled 190km to Tobermory and it was well worth it. Not only was the site beautiful but so were the attractions in the area. We stayed in a regular serviced campsite for 7 days. Across from our site was a frog pond where we heard frogs croak every night! It was very lovely and cool to see, especially for kids! During the week the site was quiet and very well kept, there was no one camping in the sites near us during the weekdays so it was also very peaceful. We went mid June and tried to rent a canoe but was informed they do not have them open yet due to cold water. We weren’t really sure why the water temperature affected this, we also did not find the water cold at the beach as we did swim but we carried on. The park store was also a bit small but had most of the essentials needed to camp as well as a variety books and sports balls to borrow! This park came with a playground, a volleyball and soccer field, cabins, a beach just across the road and much more. It was approx $60/night in the busy season and I had a great time! Would definitely go again. (Be prepared for bears!)

The hosts chose to reject our 10 minute late arrival and charged us the full weekend. My family experienced a fatal car accident on the way to camping at this location. We thought an exception may have been reasonable

Absolutely lovely! Very clean space and welcoming staff. Sites are smaller but I found this preserved the trees between campsites for more privacy and natural habitat (saw some rabbits!). Quiet hours allow you to hear loons at night, crystal clear. Dog and baby friendly!

Staff are not very friendly at all, we arrived to our cabin to find a small shed.. their was a tear in the mattress cover. Window screens handing off. Door did not close properly. We lost power for an entire day on Saturday so woke up freezing cold as our own personal heater went out. We could not make a coffee. We told the staff and they were not sympathetic at all. They did not care. They refuse to offer any discount, but this is the reason we rented a cabin to have power.. we ended up leaving a day early. We were stuffed side by side with over 7 other families in very small area definitely not a great place to be no water other than a small crummy beach across the road.. washrooms were a walk away and were not very clean. Through the light you could hardly get to the bathrooms area is so dark. Not pleased with this camp ground should have checked more reviews before spending 100 a night for a tiny shed.
