Very friendly and efficient

I have a hearth soapstone fireplace. I called him to sweep the chimney for this fireplace, however I was told that he didn't know how to clean the area where the chimney was connected to the fireplace. He tried to get an instruction from the manufacture, but he could not reach them. So, basically he could not clean the entire chimney, but I was charged for a full amount for the incomplete service.

Made an appointment on-line via Stan's Fireplace and Chimney Services. First available was 6 weeks out. I have used this company in the past and referred someone recently. I received a confirmation day of my appointment. No show, no call. I tried calling the number on their website and voicemail is full. Not sure what is going on . . . but bad customer service.

Stan inspected and repaired my fireplace at my old historic home in Milford in 2001. I had a very good experience then. Have a newer home in Pinckney now. Was delighted to see Stan was still in business. My direct vent fireplace was overheating and covering the glass with soot every single use. Stan and his coworker came out inspected the fireplace, (inside and out), cleaned everything and had it up and running beautifully. I have used it every day since. It’s not overheating and there is no soot. It feel like it’s safer to use it, better air quality and it’s certainly more pleasant to sit near. I was think of adding a blower. Stan and I spoke about that and though he could install a blower, Stan helped to understand why that might not be what I needed with this situation. I appreciate his time and not trying to sell me what I didn’t need. I have no experience with direct vent fireplaces. Stan and his partner explained it to me. And instructed me how to use it, maintain it and light the pilot light. They were on time, professional and left nothing behind but a clean fireplace and a happy customer. I booked my appointment on line. It was easy and I received confirmation of time and date for appointment as well as a call when they were in route.

I was referred to stans by a friend that runs a heating and cooling business in Holly. Sad to say it was a complete waste of my time. I needed chimney pipe ran for a wood burning stove, which i was going to pay cash for up front. He told he could stop by in a few days and get me up and running in a week. After a missed appointment and I had to call to follow up. KC finally made it to my house the next day after he told me heforgot". He took measurements and said he would get back to me. After a week

Stan is the very best chimney sweep we’ve ever had come by, you truly get what you pay for. His attention to detail and attitude of doing things right the first time were top notch. He called ahead of time and didn’t leave until the job was completely finished to our satisfaction. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for quality work.

Stan has been doing our fireplace for 30 years! He & his crew do an excellent job! He shows up when he is scheduled, cleans up & does a great job maintaining large fireplace.
