Cenote continues to impress visit after visit.During my recent visit to Cenote with a couple of friends, we were thoroughly impressed by the food, drinks, and ambiance. I ordered the beef bulgogi, which was tender and flavorful and truly hit the spot. My friend's girlfriend ordered the gluten and lactose-free Hawaiian flatbread and was equally impressed by its flavour and tenderness. The baba ghanoush was also a big hit among the group, with its perfect blend of flavours.The cocktails at Cenote are truly award-winning, with expertly crafted drinks that are both delicious and visually stunning. The bartenders are skilled and knowledgeable, providing recommendations and creating drinks that perfectly complement the food.The ambiance and decor of the restaurant are both eclectic and inviting, creating a unique and memorable dining experience. The staff is attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout the meal. The music is well chosen, diverse, and sets a great mood; the volume is also suitable for having comfortable conversations across the table.Overall, Cenote is a must-visit restaurant in downtown Victoria. Cenote Restaurant and Lounge
Friendly staff, delicious food, large portions, and reasonable prices. All the things you’ll find at Cenote.The interior is cozy and makes for a great place to get together with friends for an after work drink and dinner.Their hotdogs are a delicious option for lunch as well. Lots of tables, large space and well laid out.Food was served quickly. Drinks were topped up reasonably.Definitely recommend and will return.

What a great, quirky little spot for drinks. The name makes sense. It's a dark, cool spot downstairs and is totally like a cenote. It was recommended by a bartender in the city for good cocktails and a relaxed vibe and they were right. We had such a great time and the bartenders made great drinks for us. Some classics and a few custom cocktails. Inexpensive as well which is always a bonus. We didn't eat so we can't comment on the food but the menu looked super fun.

The cenote. Seh-no-Tay? C-note... sea-NO-tay... sea-no-teeeeeeey baby how you doin? Just here for the margs huh? Margheritaaaaaas haha. Yeah they're good huh? No I'm gonna try a uhhhhh... what? Sorry excuse me, a granny Smith goes to Washington? What like the apple? Like it tastes like sour apple? Yeah I guess uh, I guess ill try that. Yeah... so hey how do... oh where'd she go... hey did you see a girl who... oh she left huh? That's cool... probably a, like a sick dog or... something. Hey granny Smith haha thanks, let's have a little taste test huh? Oh wow... kinda tastes more like alcohol than a... like an apple, you know. Cool... ... ... Sen, seh-no-tee... seh-naughty! Haha, that can't be it either... haha... Sen noooooooo-tuh. I wish my wife didn't take the kids.

Wanted to have a girls night out with my friend and book a reservation. Cenote doesn’t answer their phone and their phone message says to email them so I did and never got a response. I went there in person and the lady said she would put us down for a reservation. We show up for our reservation and the place is closed. We received no phone call or communication whatsoever. I leave a message and again, no one ever contacts us back so I go back there in person a week later and the lady says she will get the manager to call me. When he calls, all he says to me is that they don’t do reservations and there’s nothing he can do for us. Very disappointed in the customer service and management there. Unreliable and unwilling to make things right.

The house salad was under-dressed/dry with little flavour. The baked brie, bread, jam, olives and roasted garlic was all delicious but wasn’t exactly made to be eaten together.Appreciated the gluten free bread option but likely wouldn’t go back.

Cozy little bar tucked away under the stairs in the heart of downtown. tasty cocktails and great atmosphere. Jess was our server and she went above and beyond to make sure we're having a great time. Great place for a date or to catch up with a friend.

This is a fabulous hole in the wall for small plates to share and unique drink specials. My favorite lately is their double gin and tonic (especially happy hour). Good non-alcoholic options available too!

This place always seem busy no matter what day of week it is which is neat to see. I don’t often go bars but this place made come back which is rare for me because I find drinks are good and service is good. The food looks good and also taste good which is helps me come back to them. I would highly recommend checking out this place when you come to Victoria. The only thing that should be improvement is more space to help reduce the wait time for customers which may make more busy in long run.

Casual and laidback place to grab a few drinks and bites with friends. The menu caters to different tastes, and their special drinks are a hit. We went when they had a vanilla grapefruit margarita that went down well with the whole table.Had this place recommended to me from a list of best nachos in Victoria. Cenote definitely ranks high on the nacho list. The chips stand up and are miles ahead of big name prepackaged stuff. We got a good covering of toppings and the salsa was a standout. Would highly recommend grabbing the nachos if you’re a fan!
