Cold Moon Student House
Highly recommend VIU students to apply here if they want to focus on their work.Friendly staff, as they always did their best when asking for help. Often very quiet in the building, and close to stores and major bus stops. Glad I was able to be here as housing is becoming more difficult to find.

pretty bad, pricy, no privacy.. small rooms and no oven or dishwasher. landlords able to enter your room without notice even when you're not there. laundry machine only takes loonies. guests need to be signed in with a 30$ overnight fee.

This residence was my home in Nanaimo for the last two years. I have been very pleased with the accommodation, it is clean, well organized, and conveniently located for VIU.The staff are polite and professional and very helpful.I fully recommend this residence for VIU students.

Comfy and safe. There are security cameras. The single suite I stayed at was very nice, it had everything I need. The staff was helpful.

Cold Moon Student House
I had the privilege of staying here for one semester and it was exactly what I needed: quiet, private, and close to VIU. I opted for a private room and I don’t regret it, it was a lovely little space and a perfect set up for one student. I would absolutely suggest this building to new students, the landlord and maintenance man were great and made sure to explain all of the safety precautions that the building has and they were always available if need be. Lovely atmosphere and very easy to navigate. Highly recommend!!
