Shak's World Community Centre is not only a workplace it is a family. It is a place to feel inspired, positive, motivated and welcomed. Shak's World Community Centre is here to empower our youth not only creativity but actively as well! This community centre is greatly needed right now, and our future generations deserve it !

Great and ample space for your youth and children play and development activities. Friendly staff. Upgraded sanitizers for Covid-19 prevention too. Pre-entry temperature scanner present.

I went to Shak's World to play basketball with my friends. I really like how friendly the staff is, how clean and welcoming the facility is. I will definitely be back!

I find their website really difficult to navigate and it's usually a bit difficult to get a hold of anyone. Would be nice if they had more programs that are included with the membership and more often.

Awesome place! My little brother and I have been here to use the gym for basketball a couple times and we both love. Everyone is really nice too :)

Great facility. Kiddo always has a blast. And they offer free services for low income families. Amazing what there doing:)

Great facility and staff. There's so much for young adolescents and young adults to do, not to mention it's in an awesome location with easy access to many things such as fast food restaurants, Tims, bus stop etc. This community center caters to low income families, promotes inclusivity and also has excellent social skills programs for youth I.e. cooking class. It's a safe space and environment for kids to learn and grow.We also had the honour of meeting the owner Shak she was so personable, easy to talk to, and works very well with the kids. Yes you heard me she also works with and spends time with the youth at her facility. Loved it so much I registered my son in their House league for basketball. I highly recommend Shak's World!

Giving 5 stars because the organization objective is beautiful and beneficial to our community.My hope is they are getting more organized and efficient in terms of enrolment and customer communication.Enrolled my child in the basketball program. Registration was a pain and communication was impossible (even by email). Contacting several times by email and voicemail without reply. The website is lacking information and navigation.Suggestion: Add more info regarding upcoming enrolment and process for same. This would be helpful and likely solve the communication issue.Other than administrative and process issues, this place is awesome!The coaches are empowering, confident and true mentors! Their ability to connect with the kids is admirable & impactful. Sam was patient, kind and personable. Shak is friendly, energetic and articulate.Shaks World is a phenomenal addition to the Barrie community. They play an ample role in inclusion and uplifting our diverse community.Thank you for all you do for our young people! ❤️
