Dr. Vanita Lokanathan

Dr. Lokanathan is a lovely woman and she cares about her patients. The cow that answers the phone is a horrible human. She is highly inappropriate and rude with how she deals with patients or their care givers. The problem is that no one can get through to Dr. Lokanathan to let her know how rude and out of control her receptionist is. I guess good help is hard to find these days.

This is the most helpful, Welcoming doctor office.I appreciate Dr Lokanathan and the NEW receptionist.Personally me and anyone I know DISLIKED when this office was at PTBO CLiNIC.So many people everywhere from all the other doctors and everyone is in the same waiting room , it was very impersonal, and rip off parking fees.The receptionist before was brisk & grumpy .. She basically treated me like a child and wasted my time a lot..Made me super uncomfortable to talk or ask questions, to the point I never wanted to call or go there .I definitely noticed when she left.We enjoy calling now , New receptionist is super amazing and incredibly professional.Always accommodates problems from pharmacy’s and anything else we have needed help with.Dr Lokanathan is one of the most passionate doctors ever and her whole team at this office are the same.Thanks for everything.

I would give zero stars if I was able to.This doctor is the worst doctor ever her malpractice is unreal she definitely needs to lose her practice Noone should ever have to go through what my family has due to her incompetence.Oh and her secretary she is just as bad no communication skills down right rude to the patience

I was surprised to read negative reviews about Dr. Lokanathan's office! My family have been patients for a few years now and we feel very privalged to apart of a great office. Liz is kind and caring every time we chat and I always feel reassured that the referral will be sent, follow-up made etc. Brittany is extremely knowledgeable and answers all my questions (even if I feel silly asking them). She is very professional and personable, my kids love her! Dr. Lokanathan is always there with the wisdom, experience and compassion. Thrilled my family are in great hands!

Dr Lokanathan, Britney, Liz and Dr Carter have all been wonderful with myself and my entire family. So grateful to not only have a family Dr, but to have a great family Dr with an incredibly thorough and caring team is priceless.

Nearly impossible to get through to book an appointment. Perhaps the receptionist is playing hooky. Disappointing to say the least. Doctor Lokanathan is a lovely woman though when I do get to see her and or talk to her.

Dr.Lokanathan used to be a competent doctor. I suspect that she is struggling since she left the Peterborough clinic.She is very dismissive and did not even show up to my last 2 appointments. Dr. L doesn’t take people’s health concerns seriously.She seems burned out these days.As for the new secretary: she is incredibly incompetent. She never answers the phone. She was supposed to email me a form and never did. She sent all of my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy. She sent my blood work to the wrong clinic. She is rude almost always, and uses a condescending tone. She often will raise her voice and become hostile if you ask her simple questions.It was better when Dr. L worked at the clinic. I miss her old staff. Sheena was a great nurse and Alley was a great secretary. I have lost all trust in Dr Lokanathan and her new staff. Especially the new secretary she hired after Alley left. They are incredibly unprofessional. My advice would be that having no doctor at all is safer than having this one. Run the other way.

She was my doctor for a long time. In the beginning was amazing. I don’t know what happen to cause such a change. It felt like she stopped caring. I have a complicated health problems that just leave us with a mystery. My concerns stopped being heard, she stopped seeing me as a patient. I was just a voice on the the phone. Thankfully I have a new doctor who cares and is listening. Also is proactive to helping me. I blame her for how sick I am today. Dr Lokanathan I hope you read this, I doubt it will make a difference but hopefully it will for someone else.**Warning for patients she will drop you as a patient if you create any push back or complain** this includes prescription refill issue or referral problems.

If I could give no stars I would. Completely unprofessional and rude. After trying to call their office and getting the open voice recording, after 15 minutes they shut down there phone lines completely. I managaed to finally get through during evening care and I tried to make an appointment for a NON emergency appointment. I was told to go to the hospital. Asked why I couldn't make an appointment for something not urgent. Reception was absolutely rude and with snark told me to go to the hospital and hung up on me. I feel sorry for anyone who has to rely on this office for health issues.
