Elk Lake
Off the stormy seas on the Victoria ferry and past Sydney I found this sweet gem of a park. Gorgeous even in weak November sunlight with golden trees and green and gold striped willows. Black coots swam about together as tightly as an anxious tour group. Dogs ran joyously around in woodsmoke and wet leaves scented air. A perfect place.

Lovely lake. Husband fished off the fishing platform. Was very busy when we were there. Public toilet was clean .Well worth a stop.

I caught tons of perch today such beautiful fish. Great fishing for perch bass trout and sunfish.

Elk lake is a nice 10k walk around. Mostly flat and a easy walk around the lake. Also great running.

I love this lake. There is a 10k trail around the lake (just be careful around the southwest corner, there are some forks and potential to get lost). There's a sandy beach at the north end, and it's a beautiful place to take a kayak.

Awesome place to go swimming! And hang out! The sand is so soft and there are barely any rocks! I really recommend

A gorgeous walking path. Fairly flat with a few small hills and rooty portions. Extremely well marked. Tons of washrooms.
