Auberge La Chouette

Room was not like website pictures. No Window. No View. Strong Perfume Scented Bedding and Towels. Rm 3 Noisy above Restaurant. Cramped and Small bathroom, but good shower. I feel like I was taken advantage of. Good location.

Room was not like website pictures. No View at all. Strong Perfume smell. Room 10 had a dangerous step by the bathroom and almost got killed at night. Cramped and small bathroom, with no shower at all. But overall was close to many fun thing and I had a good time.

Great location. We only met one staff member but she was very helpful and pleasant. Our room was on the top floor and there is no elevator but we knew that when we booked. Room was small but well furnished, cozy, clean, and quiet. We had air conditioning, TV, small desk, and a mini-fridge.

This was a lovely, quaint hotel. The owners were very nice. We came from MTL, with my daughter asleep in the back seat. We were arriving later than expected because of lack of electric charging stations available in QC. They were very sweet and waited up for us. The room was in an older style with a beautiful view. Strongly recommend.

Location: Central location as almost everything is at a walking distance of 5-15 minutes.Parking: You need to pay extra for the parking located else where at a distance of 10-15 mins walk but considering the parking problems in the city, it wont pinch you.Breakfast: Basic breakfast included, as in they serve you bread/ butter/ jam/ coffee/ tea/ a fruit/ juice at the table.Rooms: Not that big, not that small. Cozy. Washroom a little compact but okay.Elevator: There is no elevator so prefer opting to stay in rooms on the first floor.Value for money: Irrespective of what price you book the hotel, you ll save a lot on parking and cab.

European style. Very nice old place. Great and gracious staff

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and despite being busy, were quick to assist when required. The rooms were perhaps a bit dated, but it was comfortable and had a huge bathtub for that price of hotel room — made for a relaxing evening after walking. The breakfast was also quite good, especially for 2$ — warm flaky croissant with condiments, coffee or camomile tea, yoghurt and banana. It was also right in the heart of Old Quebec. I’d recommend to anyone who wants easy access to the old city and who’d like a good stay at a reasonable price.

Auberge La chouette was an amazing stay. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Perfect location, the rooms are cute and very clean. The owners are also the nicest people ever. They really go above and beyond. They had fresh warm croissants for us for breakfast each morning (which is included), and orange juice and she even remembered our coffee and tea order from the previous morning. The restaurant downstairs (Apsara) was also delicious and was a full house when we went for dinner. All in all, perfect stay, friendly and helpful owners by sharing with us where the best spots to walk around were, and perfect location of the hotel! 10/10 would recommend to everyone visiting Old Quebec! PS: there’s 54 stairs to the top floor, so you’ll get your steps in.

A wonderful stay! I would highly recommend La Chouette. The room was beautiful and the customer service was excellent. Good value for money.

Really liked this little hotel. It is a beautiful building, both inside and out. The location is excellent, and the rooms well appointed. The staff are also lovely and accommodating. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and it was good value for money.
