Native Tongues Taqueria - Britannia Plaza
The food is usually really good, and I understand they were busy. I waited 45 minutes for the guac & chips, salsa fresca & side protein to go. First, I got the wrong order, which happens. Then, five minutes later, I got the right one. I get home and this is the guacamole I got. Very disappointed. particularly for the price paid.

Best Taco Tuesday Ever! Me and my partner wanted to get tacos and we stopped here by chance. Our server Emily was very warm and friendly. She made lots of helpful recommendations about food and drinks. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Overall an awesome meal!

I wanted to like it! I've had such wonderful experiences at their other location but this place really missed the mark.Our table ordered the chilaquiles with salsa verde as our waitress suggested this was the mild option. It was too spicy for any of us to eat (and I don't even mind spice but this was extra spicy!). The white sangria tasted like watered down juice, there was a slice of orange on the side which tasted far better than the drink itself. The coconut marg was good though! Some other things we tried included the birria & carnitas tacos, these were so incredibly bland, very disappointing. The tostada de cameron however was delicious! The red snapper tostada was a nice size portion. The cafechata didn't have that delicious horchata flavour I thought it would have, more of a watery cold brew. The donut was lacklustre and our waitress forgot to add the birthday candles she had mentioned when I spoke to her before the rest of the party arrived, and the flan was okay but nothing to write home about. Our waitress, though polite, really struggled with any sort of understanding of the menu and was not able to describe items or make appropriate recommendations.I expected more based on previous experiences at the other Native Tongues location, and was disappointed with this visit.

Delicious tacos (taco Tuesday price as an unexpected bonus!) great friendly staff, fast service. Delicious and a good value. Love the patio. Will be returning when I'm not on a weekday lunch and can have some beers and tequila also. Well done!

Love Native Tongues new location! It is so wonderful to see great down town restaurants moving a little ways out.The drinks were great, the vibes were good and the tacos were mouth watering. We got the brisket, mushroom, pork and pork belly tacos. The mushroom was my favorite, with a shout out to the pork belly as well.Only knock is that our server was super inattentive. We had to ask another one about our drinks as he totally forgot. Since they are a pretty location we can let it slide a bit though.Bonus, village is across the street, making it a perfect desert after dinner. We will be coming back here again for sure.

Beautiful and modern restaurant. We live in the south and this is one of the best restaurants where we can get tacos from and not having to drive downtown. The food was amazing as always and the service was top notch. 10/10 definitely coming back.

The guacamole is fantastic. We received 3 out of the 6 tacos we ordered fairly quickly. We waited 20 minutes for the 3 we ordered for our daughter thus making the first 3 tacos cold. We watched as other customers after us recieved their full orders before us. They were out of Carne ASADA. Disappointing.

Where’s the rest of my Margarita? This was $14… I questioned the server on where the rest was, and she stated “that’s how our margaritas come”. I then looked around the restaurant and saw everyone else’s margaritas that actually filled the glass. It was ridiculous and set the tone for a bad evening/ did I mention that all 4 at the table ordered the same drink, and they were all drastically short of full.Oh yea, and the Ceviche was way over priced, especially considering they don’t even chop anything up into small pieces…you know, like the way ceviche should be.All of this coupled with fairly poor service, overpriced food, and half drinks for absurd prices- I likely won’t be back.…the carnitas tacos weren’t too bad and the guacamole was good- those were the only positives.

Excellent little hole-in-the-wall, that's where all the best food is anyway! Available outdoor dining is great for summer, atmosphere is warm and inviting, Mexican music playing in the background. Food is delightfully authentic, very mild spice levels by Mexican standards, but good for North American customers. If you want it properly spicy, ask for the extra hot black label salsa. $5-7 per taco may seem expensive, but it was well worth every nickel for me. I will definitely be coming back.
