Sophie Hobruecker, RMT

Sophie is a very skilled massage therapist and has helped my chronic back problems improve immensely. She listens to my needs and goals and works collaboratively with me to come up with a treatment plan. Aside from massage, she ensures that I feel comfortable, safe and heard from the moment I walk into the room. Before going to Sophie I did not prioritize going to get a massage or see the need to. I now try to book in with Sophie at least every 2 weeks! I can tell it has made a huge difference in both my physical and mental health. Sophie is also very flexible with a variety of appointment times making it very easy to book in with her. I cannot recommend her enough!

From our first session she thoroughly consulted with me to determine my needs and goals in our treatment, and has given me a multitude of tips and homework to practice in my everyday life to improve the overall condition of my body. Sophie is a fantastic therapist. She's professional and you can tell she really cares about the wellness of her clients and bringing about meaningful results. She also has great communication with her regulars and sends informative newsletters (by request) to follow up with clients and keep them updated on her practice. During treatments, she checks in on her client's comfort and is very comfortable to work and communicate with. Would definitely recommend!!

Sophie truly listens to you and your needs. She checks in and switches things up if needed. She asks thorough questions at the beginning of the session to really understand what to focus on. She uses techniques that I've never experienced before and works organically based on your body's needs. Her massages are amazing!I was having some issues with my shoulder and after the first session it really loosened up.Afterward, she asks how things have improved and I really feel that she cares about her client's overall health and recovery. Highly recommended!

When I receive a massage from Sophie, I feel like I'm getting care from my own personal therapist. Sophie pays detailed attention to how I'm feeling and follows up on it in subsequent sessions. She understood some of the athletic goals I was working towards and has been integral in keeping my body moving well. She incorporates multiple types of treatment into her care and is obviously passionate about making sure her clients feel great - she is attentive and I always leave not only feeling relaxed, but like my body is moving better. Sophie is a phenomenal RMT and a delightful human. She is kind and compassionate; as a self-conscious person, she has always put me at ease and made me feel safe and comfortable. She is thorough and meticulous in her practice, always checking in re: pressure, ensuring that I am mindfully relaxing appropriate muscles, and focusing on my breathing. I always leave feeling exponentially better than I did walking in. Seriously just the best!

Disclosure, yes, Sophie is my daughter and of course I am proud of her. But even if she wasn't, she is a really good massage therapist. I have had back problems all my live, getting treatments as early as being 14 yrs old. Sophie has identified problem areas and worked precisely to alleviate pain and tension and also advised me to do homework" to maintain mobility and function
