Hwy 400 Transmission & Driveline Service

Jason and his team do alot of work on our trucks for our company also personal vechicles. Always done on time and for good price thanks for keeping us on the road.

Would've been a 5 star if they put my brakes back together properly after doing my rear gears, unfortunately for me that's not the case. Now I get to spend more money getting them properly adjusted.

Slow to get working on our car and seemed to be occupied with other things other than getting our car back on the road. As a result, our repairs took longer then expected but can't complain about the work done. So far so good and was recommended to us for being honest and one of the more affordable shops in the city.

Had a broken driveshaft replaced by these guys on December 14, today on February 4th the same driveshaft they installed has also snapped. The work was done quick and cheap, but that also shows in the quality of work and parts they install. I won’t be coming back to this shop wouldn’t trust them with anything. My advice, save yourself the trouble find a different mechanic.

As a first time car owner, I have nothing really to compare too, however I will say that Jason was very informative and guided me through the steps. repairs only took about 3 days from start to finish including: getting the quote, ordering the parts and installation, which in my opinion is relatively fast. at the end of the of all of this I am driving my 2011 ford fusion with a brand new drive shaft all thanks to 400 Barrie Transmission. Defiantly will be a returning customer.

Can’t speak highly enough about Jason and his crew. I brought them a nightmare job (old Ford F-150 with an LS engine swap and a blown transmission) and they got me back on the road. Took them a few weeks, and I’m pretty sure they lost money on it because I know they didn’t charge me for all their hours. Never heard a complaint from anyone. Professional, honest shop. Very busy for a reason. My truck is driving and shifting great now - thanks a lot guys.

Jason isn't only a great mechanic, he is a good person as well, a man of his word and stands behind his work. You just don't see conscientious and ethical business practices anymore that Hwy400 Transmission exudes.

Well just after the holidays 2019 having a warning light on my dash decided to pop over to this place and give them a try. My last experience was green & Ross on Anne St and it was shocking leaving me with a $3800.00 bill and a non working car stereo.But this place was amazing indeed showed up early on jan 3rd 202 and they looked at my car straight as soon as a bay was available and had the vehicle fixed by noon the same day. I was amazed at the speed and service and thanked the Boss for making it all happen bill was spot on and car runs much better will be using them in the future now for oil changes etc and work on my vehicle.Also whats even better is my stereo now works not sure what they fixed but i am more than happy with them.

I have wanted to do a review for awhile but finally getting to it. As a female, this is the first place I have gone to that I trust. I have been trusting 400 Transmission to do work on my car for quite a few years and now have my daughters taking their cars there. They are honest, respectful and I have never been overcharged. I will continue to go there and recommend to anyone asking!

Jason and his son Dylan along with the rest of the crew turned my old 77 c10 pick up truck into a totally different machine. From a mildly built transmission, new 3.73 gears in the differential and minor tweaking of the engine I picked up my truck today and have never been so happy with a job completed by another garage. I have always recommended people here for transmission repair work and will continue to work alongside the team of 400 transmission as they never disappoint!
