I've been shopping here for years! Always loved it, it's my favorite thrift store in Alberta! They have great prices and there's always at least a few hidden gems in amongst the racks. Definitely recommend:)

Stopped into Castaways thrift store on my way home from a road trip. It's a medium-sized thrift store. I loved how there was a shelf with free items like books and games (and more) right when you walk in the front door. I went straight to the women's clothing section. Most of the clothing there was mall brands like H&M, Ricki's, Joe Fresh, etc. Not a lot of items that fit my style, but I still managed to find some cool tops and even a couple of band shirts. Great prices compared to Goodwill and VV. Most shirts were $5-$8. The clothing could be a bit more well organized; clearer signage and separation of sizes, and even grouping each size into colour would be helpful. I appreciate how the book section is organized alphabetically by author! Would probably stop by again if I were in Lacombe. You never know what you'll find.

Love shopping at this thrift store. Great selection! Stephanie and Anette are great asset to the store. They bring positive energy, very customer oriented and pleasant. All the girls at the store are very hard working.

Every time I have visited Castaways I have felt welcomed and looked after by the staff. The ladies will keep an eye out for certain things you may need. It is fun to turn up early to try and find the gnomes they hide that give 50% off. Items are always clean and to a high quality. The staff work hard to keep the stock fresh.

My absolute favorite thrift shop. I have shopped here for years and the staff is so fun and humorous. Have designed most of my home with excellent finds. Always a pleasant experience.

I love Castaways. The staff are always friendly and helpful, they have a wild mix of clothing and items for really good prices and the atmosphere is both inviting and nostalgic. As an added bonus, they support the Lacombe Action Group, which is an essential service for families with disabilities. Definitely my first choice for a thrift store!

I absolutely used to love going to castaways but lately prices have begun to spike, and lots of items are priced at more than they would sell for in the store. I also find that lately they haven't been putting alot of items out on the floor. I also noticed an employee at castaways on the phone with who was either a friend or family member telling them about an item them they just got in, and said text me when you're on your way and I'll put it out
