Dan is literally the best mechanic. He takes the time to explain the repairs, what they're working on and why. I've never felt like I was told to make a repair that wasn't necessary. Prices are a little on the pricier side, but Dan and his team take careto make sure that you get what you pay for.Took it in for a bearing issue, they replaced the part, and found it became defective again (couple months later), they replaced it right away with no issues or hassles. Definetly the mechanic I will keep going to!Dan will make you feel welcome, will do his absolute best to ensure you are comfortable and never pushes you into repairs you don't need.Edit (2023): Still going to Dan's shop, still fair, still reliable!

I was originally given their name through a social media community group about a year ago when I was looking for someone local who was honest, transparent, professional and wouldn't break the bank. Steel Horse Automotive did not disappoint. I can't say enough great things about them. I've brought my truck in a couple times with things I wasn't sure were actual problems - such as a squeaky break sound - but nevertheless wanted the peace of mind. They took a look and, if they couldn't find anything, didn't even charge me. Any other place would charge you just for walking in the door - understandable since they have to make a living as well, and I wouldn’t have complained if they did. Their prices are more than reasonable and they take the time to explain what’s going on and what they have to do without being patronizing or pushy to use their services. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dan, Jennifer and all of the mechanics at Steel Horse Automotive are amazing people to say the least. Despite a pandemic they are still honest and hard-working, always finding a spare minute to chat and to fit me in to their hectic schedules. I have had too many bad experiences with auto services in the past to count so I have to add that they’ve restored my faith that there are still good people out there just looking to help. Highly recommend these guys!!!

A big thank you to Dan, Scott and the rest of the Steel Horse team, for helping to make my dream come true! Earlier this year they installed a VF Supercharger in my 2000 BMW Z3M Roadster, along with some other much needed work, and and all I can say is wow, she is everything I could hope for now! These guys are first rate, personable and highly professional, and I highly recommend them for anything automotive.Just recently they fabricated a replacement differential mount and completed a very solid custom repair for my subframe failure. They did a superb job, cutting the failed metal out of my trunk floor and welding in a 3 square tube with additional bracing

Came in for a 4 wheel alignment. Service was quick and price was reasonable. Was provided with a spec of before, and after. Would recommend!

Hands down the absolute best and most trustworthy knowledgeable mechanics in tge business. I work in the oil patch in Williston north dakota but live in london ontario. My truck is my office and sees every road surface imaginable. The guys at steel horse keep my wheels turning and my f350 running great. Thanks for everything!

These guys are providing everyone with out-of-this-world experience. WOW! I went in to get couple aftermarket horns installed, in which started with super easy set-up for an appointment and time. When time came, they saw the schedule on their computer and noticed that I was set for another time, but they didn't turn me away. They still did the work despite me coming in at a different time! Then they were working on it, and they encountered a problem where my the relay that came with the horns was defective - but that didn't discourage them from continuing the work. They didn't complain about it, and they just got a new relay and continued the work. They were extremely helpful during the process, and informative on the situation. The owner Dan is very kind, professional, and pleasant to deal with! At the end of it all, despite elongated work, they charged me only slightly over what was quoted, and I was COMPLETELY satisfied. I'm so disappointed in myself that I didn't find this place sooner. Their service are inexpensive, yet credible! I love supporting small local shops like this one. FULLY recommending this one to everyone!

Came here engine light fix. Yes they fixed it for $550 just to replace the oxygen sensor. Then my light came on again after 3 months so I came back to them again. They diagnosed it with a faulty sensor that they installed the last time. They said they can fix it and warranty the parts but I have to pay them for there hours which is $90. So I complained about my time they wasted.I have to call in for that day. So they adjust it to $60 which I just paid just to get over with. And then when I started my car, my engine light is ON. So I have to come back the other day because they said they ordered the wrong part. So please stay away from this shop. I don't know how they got 4+ star reviews but I'm never going back again!

Had a motor replaced in a timely manner. Very professional and curtious. Got more then my $'s worth Thx Dan
