When we decided to get married in a hot air balloon, our wedding planner gave us a choice of photographers, but I knew Applehead's reputation well enough that it wasn't even a question.Liam, Steph, Ash & Rich made our wedding so much more magical that I ever would have dreamed.We are not typically comfortable in front of a camera. Good news for us, that didn't seem to matter! We probably spent a total of 5 minutes posing" for photos - everything else was candid and perfectly captured the joy of the day. Our photos are a perfect mix of solo shots (we eloped) with enough pictures of the rest of the gang that we'll remember every detail of that day!Getting our photos back (quickly!) was like a trip down memory lane. They captured the tiniest details that we didn't even remember from the day.Our wedding video is so dreamy and the perfect way to show our families and friends who weren't in attendance what the day was really like.They're incredibly flexible. They had no problem being on call for a 3pm go/no-go decision

Friendly experience and was pretty quick. Went in for professional headshots and was made to feel comfortable as you don't want to come out looking awkward.

Our wedding was recently photographed by Ash & Rich from Applehead studios and I cannot say enough great things. From the second we met them, their energy was so infectious and they totally put us at ease. The candid shots of our friends and family from the ceremony go above and beyond everything we could have imagined. We had our two young daughters at the ceremony with us, and they were so amazing with them, and we’re able to get some amazing moments we will cherish forever. After the ceremony they took us out through Wolfville to take some photos of just my husband and I, and we are completely blown away by the results. It was a freezing cold evening, but they had us laughing through the whole thing and we’re so great about any requests we may have had. I can’t wait to be have more photographs done by them in the future, and have already recommended Applehead, and Ash & Rich to many of our friends.

I would just like future clients to be aware that when you book portraits with Applehead studios, you are taking the risk that your appointment is cancelled 20 minutes before the shoot is supposed to take place. I had received multiple emails that my session was confirmed including an hour before the appointment, and then it was cancelled. I received no form of compensation from the company for their last minute cancellation. I had paid to have my hair and makeup done, travel to those appointments, and was at the studio when I received an email that my appointment was cancelled. Liam offered a $75 credit, however, this does not cover the expenses I spent due to his mistake and short notice, and I do not want to rebook as Liam could not guarantee me that this mistake would not happen again (so I never received any compensation).

If you are looking for the best in the business, stop right here! Applehead did my wedding, my sisters wedding and my professional headshots for real estate. Repeat business tells all, and I am a devoted customer, I will never go anywhere else. I get so many compliments on their work, and miraculously they have ALWAYS made me feel SO comfortable in front of their cameras. I emphatically recommend this business without any hesitation, hands down, they are THE. BEST. IN. THE. BUSINESS.

Ugh… headshots. At least that was my initial thought. As I walked down Barrington St, and approached the super convenient location for us downtown dwellers, I practiced my “fake smile”.As I climbed the multiple flights of stairs, I continued to dread the event. Enter the kong toy on the floor… my heart skipped a beat at the possibility there was a dog on-site.I entered the studio and a beautiful golden comes lumbering towards me. I’m 20 minutes early… I’m greeted like a friend by Liam, the photographer/owner. I’m instantly comfortable, he is funny, lively and yet very professional.Liam provided easy to follow directions, “don’t step over or on the green tape” :)He tells me he’s been in business for 15 years - it shows.Take your business here - don’t dread the headshot! I’m already planning grad photos with Liam in a few years for my kid.

I had my headshots taken by Applehead Studio in June 2023. Liam the photographer was awesome and extremely friendly and professional. The appointment was also extremely efficient.The processing time was also incredibly quick (Thank you Steph!). Within 24 hours I had my photos taken, preferred photo selected, and an edited, high-quality file downloaded on my computer ready to use.I highly recommend Applehead Studio for all your Photography needs!
