Our family's experience with Svetlana Antonyshyn at Innersight Psychotherapy was exceptionally disheartening. Despite being recommended by my son's therapist, it became clear that her approach to our family therapy sessions was unsuitable.From the beginning, my wife had reservations about Svetlana's ability to help us, but we proceeded due to my son's mother's insistence. Unfortunately, Svetlana's combative style of therapy created a tense environment where my wife constantly felt pressured. Her demanding questions and prolonged silences only added unnecessary stress.As my wife eventually withdrew from therapy, I continued due to my son's mother's insistence in the hopes of improving our family dynamic. While Svetlana initially acknowledged the challenges we faced with my son's mother, any progress was short-lived. In a critical moment, she suggested suspending my son's access to our home until he showed more respect. Reluctantly, we agreed, but Svetlana failed to follow up as promised, leaving us feeling abandoned.Seeking clarification and support proved futile, as Svetlana provided minimal assistance and claimed to not regularly offer follow-up, despite doing so previously. This lack of communication during a crucial time displayed a disregard for our situation's gravity.To worsen matters, false rumors spread that we had abandoned our son. When I reached out to my son's therapist to rectify the situation, my son's mother scheduled a session with Svetlana, intending to manipulate him against us. Despite his reluctance, the session proceeded.In an effort to prevent the session, I formally revoked Svetlana's permission to speak with my child and sought assistance from Innersight Psychotherapy. However, Svetlana disregarded my explicit instructions and continued the session. She dismissed my son's concerns and even called me a liar, causing unnecessary distress.When confronted, Svetlana denied receiving my email and refuted any continuation of the session, despite my son's detailed account of events. Her lack of accountability and honesty deepened our disappointment.In conclusion, our experience with Svetlana Antonyshyn at Innersight Psychotherapy was disheartening. Her combative approach, lack of follow-up, and disregard for parental consent demonstrated a profound lack of professionalism. We strongly caution against seeking therapy with her, as she worsened our family's issues during an already challenging time.
