Superior product and customer service !Having an entire backyard project (and front yard in our case) designed and built is a huge investment in time and, of course, money. After speaking with other customers and visiting projects by Edgewater Pools & Jonathan Robert Landscapes, we decided to move forward with them.We were amazed. They do not sub out work like every other pool and landscaping company, these guys have their own team, their own equipment and are total professionals. Their work crews showed up each morning before the crack of dawn and did not quit until well after dusk. They cleaned up after themselves each day and made sure the entire project was seamless.In watching them and inspecting their work daily, we noticed that everything they did was done right. There were no short cuts or corners cut and it became very apparent to us that they employee a team of skilled craftsmen who take pride in what they do. The foremen (Scott) would touch base with us every day and provide us updates while pridefully showing us their daily progress.From the beginning Bert (Designer) and his team where transparent about the timing, what to expect and worked tirelessly to help us create a beautiful design within our budget.Jonathan (Owner) would be on site multiple times a week to make sure things were on track. It is obvious that this company is run like a swiss watch and produces an outstanding quality product that speaks for itself. They have turned our backyard into something that our family can truly enjoy for many years.

Deciding to have a pool installed is the fist step, finding the right company to achieve this is the next one. This step is the hard one; once you start you can’t easily change your mind and you will have a really hard time returning a defective outcome. Luckily we’ve been through this process and can hopefully ease some concerns before you have to take the plunge.In the fall of 2019 we hired Edgewater Pools to create a proposal for the installation and landscaping of our backyard. By this time we had already reached out to other installers and were waiting for other proposals, however Bert at Edgewater was the first to get a design in our hands. Communication was always prompt and questions answered quickly.After a little back and forth (lots of back and forth) we decided to entrust our project to Bert and Jonathan at Edgewater Pools. We were not unhappy with any of the other companies we communicated with but we had to eventually make a decision and as Bert was the fist to produce plans we went with Edgewater. We are very happy (and lucky) with the decision we made.In December 2019 we gave Edgewater a deposit and couldn’t wait for our project to begin the following spring. In March, when the pandemic appeared, we asked Johnathan if he could delay the start of the project to the following year as we had financial concerns. He understood and told us to take the time we needed. By June we realized that luckily our careers were not over and could safely proceed with the project, unfortunately for us everyone else in the city was looking for a pool and ours wouldn’t start before September. Unfortunately for Bert this gave us time to think of a few more modifications to our plans. Fortunately he was always happy to accommodate and help with suggestions.The team at Edgewater was amazing. Seeing a giant hole of mud and clay turn into the yard we have now is amazing, and thanks to the pandemic we were there to see it. We did our best to stay out of the way and not call Bert with questions every day but he was always happy to answer them when we did.I would recommend Edgewater to anyone and I can’t wait to post pictures of the finished product when the snow melts.

We dealt with Edgewater Pools for the design and construction of a new pool with interlocking and brand new deck. They were very professional and the clean up was done nightly, so there was no interference at all in our driveway. The team were very polite, answered all of my questions and were open to deviations here and there when the construction started. I would highly recommend Edgewater Pools for any type of design or construction due to the quality of work they provided. Very happy with the outcome of our new back yard oasis! The process from design to construction to follow up has been very good. Bert and his crew were great to deal with, respectful of out property and my neighbours also. The crews would sweep the street up of the construction debris every day for an example.Our project, like many I'd imagine, started out as one thing and developed into another. Doing this I never got the impression that we were being led on, there was honest dialog on the expectations and the cost associated with them. I don't mind paying for good quality, so long as I'm getting good quality at a reasonable timeline.In the end we're very happy with the results that we received, our backyard pool and surrounding landscaping is amazing. So why only four stars you ask? The fifth start lives in the follow up which will very likely shine this spring when our very few deficiencies are corrected. Not all of these deficiencies can be directly attributed to Edgewater, but as the general they are the contact to make good on the final quality of the build. Bert has been nothing but great for us, don't get me wrong as I have every confidence in him and his crews. I'll just keep this last star as my deposit.Highly recommended folks.Update April 2021: Fifth star on follow upBy the time winter pulled back and uncovered our backyard we found a few more items that we relayed back to Bert who promptly came by to have a look at what had occurred. To be honest, it was just good to see the man as he's a fun guy to chat with. Bert had a look at the work that needed to be done and within a few weeks Scott and crew arrived to do the work. In actuality the guys that showed up found a couple more small issues that I had missed and they took care of it. Lads were on it and did great work. All the issues that I brought to their attention were taken care of without question, it was just a matter of identifying what I was concerned with and they fixed it, no questions.People are quick to complain and call out poor workmanship and companies not standing behind their product, not a lot of pats on the back out there. Here's a shout out for this group taking ownership of their work and making good on their commitment to me, and quickly. Here's your star Bert, you earned it.

We had our back yard redone last fall. The yard is small and we had a lot of stuff we wanted incorporated and they found a way. I appreciated that the recommendations that were made were for the good of the project and the end result and never got the impression that I was being pressured or up-sold. The job was done quickly and efficiently and I'm super happy with the results. I look forward to having the team back in the spring to work on the front.
