Had a Caesar there and it had an overwhelming Worcestershire sauce flavour. We also went in open mic night and none of the artists were very good.

Great pub with alot of history in the heart of saint john. Something for everyone: live music, weekend dance music, craft beers, local favorites, cocktails, friendly staff, an irish pub with personality within walking distance of everything you need to experience in saint johns historic district. Highly reccommend

Maybe we went on an off night but didn't have a welcoming feeling at all! In fact it was the Opposite feeling. We felt like we were more of a bother then anything.

I recently visited O'Leary's Irish Pub in St. John, New Brunswick, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, which was complemented perfectly by the charming decor and traditional Irish music playing in the background. However, what really stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by bartender Dave.Dave was an absolute pleasure to be around, and his enthusiasm for his job was evident from the get-go. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making great recommendations and always ensuring that my drink was topped up. Dave's attention to detail was also impressive, as he took the time to remember my name and my preferred drink, making me feel like a valued customer. The drinks themselves were expertly crafted, and I could tell that Dave had a real passion for mixology. I tried several different cocktails, each of which was delicious and expertly balanced. The beer selection was also impressive, with plenty of local and international brews to choose from.Overall, I would highly recommend O'Leary's Irish Pub to anyone visiting St. John. The atmosphere, drinks, and food were all fantastic, but it was Dave's excellent service that really set this place apart. His passion and expertise made my visit truly memorable, and I can't wait to return on my next trip to New Brunswick. Five stars all around!

I love Irish music, so this is a great spot in my opinion. The bar tender poured me a Nice pint. If you're hungry they have a relationship at the restaurant across the street. This place doesn't actually serve food but I had jambalaya which was delicious. The other restaurant brought over and I paid them. A bit different but totally workable. This is a pub that just serves drinks.I was there on a Sunday night most everything else in town is closed these folks stay open till about midnight and even have live music.

We popped over based on the recommendation of the bartender across the street for some food during an Open Mic night. He made a few suggestions and he was right. We got an appie plate to share, and I had the steak sandwich with no mushrooms. The filet was cooked perfectly and was so tender. Everyone really loved their meals. A friend got the chicken naanwich and wow wow - so good. Ambiance is great and our servers were very attentive. Great place for a bite.

Oldest Irish bar in Canada's oldest city. Stopped for a pint of Guinness before re-boarding cruise ship. Had a wonderful Irish folk singer that everyone singing along. Owner gave a little history lesson of the bar.and St. John in general.

A local gem! Everything you need from your local Irish bar - beer, music, and good vibes. However, the bartender (I wish I remembered his name) made the entire experience. His chat was fantastic.
