Worst Place ever to stay.Owner argues with customers, does not treat staff nicely.Black mold in pool area.Paint peeling in corners of bathroom.Found bugs and floating things in hot tub and area.Place needs a complete renovation.in

Trust the reviews. Staff is rude, end of story. Arrived at 1:56 pm. Woman that works front desk is sitting out front. We wanted to check in to get to site and start work. She rudely says can't you read

As I was traveling for work I thought, might as well try the travel lodge.The room has a smell to the point where I went and bought air fresheners, as it was burning my nose. The front desk is not helpful at all. Things haven't been wiped down in months. The wifi is so bad it shouldn't be even advertised.

WARNING: NO CHECK IN UNTIL 2PM . NO ACCESS TO LOBBY OR POOL WASHROOM UNTIL 2PM. POOL / HOT TUB IS ONLY OPEN 10AM - 8:45PM. CHECK OUT IS AT 11AM. Most people go to a hotel / Inn to be able to do something important during the afternoon / evening on the day they arrive. A standard check-in time in the hospitality industry is 1PM. When I tried to check into the Travel Lodge in Hope the front desk said no room access until 2PM. We also asked to use a washroom outside of the suite, such as the lobby or pool, being as they were making us wait so long to get access to the washroom in our suites. They flat out said no washroom, no room until 2pm. This made it impossible for us to complete our planned activities for that afternoon. Also the pool closes so early in the evening and opens so late in the morning making it almost impossible to fit in a swim... it's as if the management doesn't want people to check into the hotel or use the hotel facilities...

Arrived just before 9 so by the time got to room front desk closed. Wifi did not work all night and lady (cranky and rude) said it was on. Must be our phones. Free breakfast starts at 11 and if you are travelling or working , what is the pointPool /desk shut down earlyRooms debatably sorta clean

Read the other reviews after staying in Room 206, so no bias. We have found using third-party websites is inviting trouble, so we phoned. The clerk explained all policies. Only 2 people at a time in the lobby, which did not smell of smoke. At our arrival the desk clerk was very pleasant and answered all our questions, explaining the breakfast issues, office hours, etc. We made sure we always had our keys with us. Bathroom appeared to be recently renovated and was clean. Good towels. Great shower. A small fridge, but no microwave. TV worked fine. Bed was fine. Room was very quiet, hardly noticed the traffic going by. Heard nothing from the neighbouring rooms. A/C worked fine. No insects. Main carpet is worn and needs replacing, and the corner of the room with the bed has a definite tilt to it. You can feel yourself walking downhill as you walk over to the bed. Can't comment about the pool. Went just up the road to Tim Horton's for an early breakfast, so can't comment about the hotel offerings. Convenient location. We would probably stay again based on this visit.

Luckily my wife saw the reviews on Google and we were able to cancel our reservations and book elsewhere. Hard to believe anyone would makeup laws about required vaccination. No other hotel has asked this as we travel across Canada trust the reviews and stay away from crazy.You can tell by the attitude in the responses from owner how this place is. Lieing to and dismissing clients, back against the wall. There is a total lack Customer service or ownership of their failures.m

The hotel itself was an odd mix of dated and new. Beds were ok comfortable but not amazing. Check in staff on arrival was not very friendly and argued with me about how many rooms we had reserved. Staff at checkout was friendly and helpful. Good location if you need to stay in hope.Edit: the owner replied to my review and corrected me on the smoking room. So I fixed it.

No access to suite or any bathroom until 2:00 PM!! We made reservations a month ago for my cousin's wedding. Drove over 2 hours and tried to check in at 1:00 PM only to be told check-in starts at 2:00 PM! Our shuttle to the wedding venue was arriving at 2:30 PM so we panicked because we would not be able to change into our wedding clothes in time. In desperation we asked if we could at least use a washroom in the lobby or pool or some other solution - to our disbelief they said no! Reserved guests are not even allowed to use a toilet on the day of their stay before 2:00pm in the afternoon. Also, the pool is only open from 10:00 am until 8:45 pm so if you are planning to enjoy the pool / hot tub after dinner or before check out in the morning, you probably won't get to! Hence the 1 star review.
