The City of Calgary Landfills - East Calgary Landfill

Why o why is there only one landfill opened on Sunday in a city with a population of over a million?? Makes no sense!!! Just makes huge line ups & encourages illegal dumping! Once againour city overseer’s have no clue of the obvious!!!!

Good clean spot to drop your excess garden and lawn greenery.Back in flat level ground and dump. Easy trailer turnaround. $25. Min Charge

I run here regularly with a dump run business , always a pleasure to interact with their staff . Always friendly and easy people to chat with on a regular basis. Yeah I know , it's a dump , but the people always are exceptional to interact with .

Went on a Sunday, Smokey skies obscured the usual vistas, but there were plenty of birds and 4 lanes of traffic all moving slow and steady. A drive thru coffee kiosk would generate revenue and you’re already at the dump when you need to toss the cup.

Just found out the hard way there's a 25 dollar minimum the hard way I was not told. All I had was 1 bag of house hold garbage and they bent me over. Just a ridiculous cash grab especially with no warning!!!!!! Will not be going back there anytime soon

Free mulch and lots of it. It's obviously not as nice quality as what you would find in stores but you can't complain when it's free.Just let the people at the gate know that you want free mulch and they'll give you directions to the mulch pile (super close to the entrance).

Terrible experience today. The clerk coming in didn't say anything about we had to weigh out to drop off hedge branches and recorded our license plate incorrectly going in. There was a lane that said bypass to get out so that's what we used. Got told to back up the length of a road to use weigh scale. Dump needs much better signage! Then the out clerk couldn't locate our plate for a while because of the incoming clerks error. And then the out going clerk claimed we had 35 kgs of branches, absolutely not, it weighed 5 kgs max. They need to fix their scales as they are ripping people off that have to pay! Certainly wouldn't pay to take anything to the dump. I'll wait for free days or smash it up in pieces before I'll pay dumping fees for poor customer service.

Very good people running the whole operation, easy to work with and very informative when a question is asked, which is very nice to see!

I honestly cringe having to come here ... Everyone is just slow ... I've never seen this type of thing where it seems your told to just drag it ... How can it take forever to get out????
