One of the best brunch I have ever had! The portions are appropriate and do not induce a food coma. The coffee is top-notch, as is the serving staff. Highly recommended!

I started coming to Maelstrom since summer 2022 and every visit has been a bliss !! We’ve tried a variety of foods and drink, they all delivered so well. The staff was especially helpful and friendly :) Great cafe atmosphere. Can’t wait to return next time I’m in quebec city <3

Cute coffee shop! Both coffee and meals are tasty. We ordered Shakshuka and apple pancakes. Recommend this place for brunch.

Based on the menu, our Sunday brunch had a lot of potential. Not sure if the server who took our order forgot to put it in or maybe bring it out but after seeing other tables that sat down after us being served, I asked about the status of our food. After checking in with the kitchen, the girl assured us that our order was coming out shortly. It in fact did but everything tasted luce warm, including a side of potatoes that I thought were also very greasy. None of the servers asked us how the food was. Despite a bit disappointing food experience, still giving it 4 stars based on creative/tasty cocktails (which were served promptly) and ambience.

There are flesh flowers on the all tables. It has nice atmosphere. Probably portion is not big enough for men but it was well made.

The service was great, it’s such a nice spot with lots of room for indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered 2 drinks and a brunch item. The only issue was that we asked for no meat/bacon and we went home without checking and the food had meat on it. I would like to come back again but disappointed I couldn’t enjoy most of the meal we purchased.

It is one of my favorite places for brunch. The staff is very friendly and professional. The brunch menu offers about 10 different dishes where at least one option is vegetarian (and if I'm not mistaken, vegan). As the place is a cafe as well, you can accompany your delicious meal with a freshly brewed coffee prepared by their barista. The proportions of the dishes are well served and you can tell that the ingredients are fresh. I have not had the opportunity to visit the place for dinner but I am sure that the evening menu will not disappoint anyone.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere.Went there for brunch on a Saturday morning. There were plenty of places to sit. The food was great and cheap (40ish for 3 plates (tapas sizes) and 2 awesome coffees). We took the avocado bene, the veggies (oh my lord trust me on this one juste take it) and the hummus toast #miammmmDefinitely would recommend.

I had a positive experience. The waitress (Alexandra, if I'm not mistaken) was very kind and knowledgeable about their cocktails. She did some great recommendations and performed such an incredible service. The barman was also very friendly. We just found their options of snacks are limited, although their pita bread with hummus is simply amazing (8$)! The prices are ok for the cocktails (between 12 and 15, but they are not served in a large glass). But honestly our biggest concern was actually the loud music. From the outside the place looks chill and nice but inside was loud and people were speaking louder to make themselves heard.
