This is the absolute best tailor in the city. Every single person that works here knows their trade and provide high-grade customer service, calling you to ensure that they are fulfilling your request to your satisfaction and expectations. The craftsmanship is the best quality I have ever experienced in tailoring. You may have to wait a month or so to get your request completed, but you will be beyond satisfied. These people should be licensed to perform open-heart surgery, they are that good. You will have nothing to worry about when you hand your clothing over to them. The prices are very fair as well. Cannot recommend enough.

Exceptional service and craftsmanship. They made some adjustments to a suit that I purchased that was too big and made it fit beautifully. There's always that 1/100 person that loves to complain, but these guys deserve 5/5 stars! Great work.

Brought in an expensive pair of jeans I needed taken in slightly. Got back jeans that had been butchered, split entirely along the centre seam and put back together with poor stitching and misaligned pockets. Even after complaining and bringing them back, pockets were still askew and stitches coming out, with the added bonus of being too small now. Overall very disappointed, and recommend avoiding them for anything. Attached photo of their ‘fixed’ attempt.

Purchased a mess Kit from Andrei's while leaving Canada for a posting. I received the suit while outcan and wore it for a mess dinner, as I had no idea how it's supposed to fit, I assumed they had gotten it right. It took two mess dinners for someone to point out to me that the arms were shorter than they should be.When I was finally able to make it in (admittedly long after purchasing it) I offered money for alterations but the store was amazed at how out of measurement the arms were, keep in mind, this is on a suit with my credentials stitched into it. Continuing to offer money to fix it, they made some phone calls and agreed that it was their fault and they would fix it free of charge (even saying if the arms had to be replaced they would see it done). They sent it to their HQ in Fredericton to be fixed and I left the country on my posting as I explained to them I would.2 months later they contacted my point of contact in Canada to say it cannot be fixed and I should sell the jacket..... I contacted them via email referencing the details and they generally did not know what I was talking about. They had no idea, they did not care of the conversation I had in store surrounding the suit, they had no real assistance other than telling me to sell the suit and taking a hard stance on the matter. Frustratingly I asked for the suit back and I will no longer deal with Andrei's. 1500 for a full mess Kit, admitting that it is impossible that my arms would have changed lengths and offering no further assistance, even when I was offering to pay. Pictures attached, highly recommend going elsewhere for a kit and I will be passing my feelings to the CANEX for facilitating them as a supplier for young/new members who may not know the ins and outs of the system.

I bought my mess kit from here years ago. Mess kits have a lot of strict rules and Andrei's is the only place in Kingston that does them. In the summer I was told they were backed up and weren't taking new alterations. I tried calling multiple times in the fall no one answered so I went there to see a sign on the door saying they no longer do alterations sorry for the inconvenience and a line of people inside one of which was being fitted for a new mess kit. They have time to do a whole new product but not to alter one for a past customer and despite all this work apparently can't afford to take on additional people. In the summer when they couldn't help me I asked if they knew a place in town that could do mess kit alterations and was told not here". I'll never spend another cent here."

Fixed my sweater super quickly and cheaply

Quality and craftsmanship was top notch. The only reason for 4 stars, was the fact they (Kingston) never answered or returned any calls, so after calling their head office, only to find their Kingston location had my order for final fitting in their possession for over 3 weeks. (Was ordered end February, estimated 8-10 weeks, at the 10 week mark, didn't hear back at all after several attempts and leaving voicemail) I could have had it that much sooner. Good thing I didn't need any other last minute or final adjustments, as it fit very well and they put a rush on the last steps for completion. Staffing issues apparently. So despite the lack of initial communication, the end product was 5 stars on its own merits. I recommend they contact clients when it's time for 2nd fitting and ready for pickup. Hopefully others don't have to chase this info down like I did. Thanks and best of luck in the future.

Brought in a wool coat for a minor repair, all the person said to me was no alterations"

I brought in an old hoodie that needed a zipper replaced. Not only did I have to wait about 6 weeks, it was $90! For a ZIPPER! Only reason I’m not giving a one star review is because the quality of work was good… go elsewhere!
