Great place to live! Very clean and well-maintained buildings. There is a community feel to the Vanier Woods Apartments thanks to the wonderful staff. The staff are friendly and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in their work by the great job they do. From the monthly newsletters, community garden and ongoing events you are always kept up to date about what is going on in the complex. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to others if you are looking for a great place to live.

Lived here for a year, can’t say it was a good experience at all. Nothing but problems from management and being accused of multiple things that we’ve never done. Delayed maintenance requested or stuff just not getting fixed period even thought we were told it was going to be. They took away public garbage cans at each door to the building as well. Non stop fire alarm checks. Being lied to over and over by management. Having to go above their head and calling their Ontario office multiple times. Rude behaviour from staff. All I can say is keep your email chains with these people for awhile even if you move out as they cannot be trusted. Will never be dealing with this property or another skyline living property again.

I lived in the skyline apartments, they are nice and modern and common areas are very clean which I appreciate. The problems arise when their are any issues...the resident managers/ salespeople have their hands basically tied by the corperation. Emails and text messages are sometimes not responded too in regards to noise or disruptions in the building or other concerns. I had a pipe burst in the winter..no big deal these things happen...however I felt like I was pulling teeth to get information on repairs. Maybe they are understaffed? Honestly my whole experience there was rather bizarre. To top it off I vacated did all the paperwork, walk through etc. and the rent was then withdrawn from my account for the next month. 1179$. Fingers crossed that there is a check in the mail! Its been sent for processing and no further communication from their head office in Toronto. Bottom line I recommend only as a last resort.

Never again will I rent from Skyline Living! The management is AWFUL. Problems don't get addressed and when you alert Home Office (as you are told you are welcome to do upon movie in) about the issues, the manager takes it out on the person that reported it. When I spoke to the District Manager (who is just as awful at their job and should teach a class in gaslighting 101 as they are a pro at it) they told me they were aware of the issue, saying yeah

They tested the fire alarms and smoke detectors at least once per month. Over the 3+ years we lived there it never really slowed down either. More than once we had the fire alarms go off in the middle of the night, everyone had to evacuate due to malfunctions. Had two different landlords over that time, both extremely rude and difficult to work with.Once I had to bring in a money order form for my rent, the (current) landlord lost it, TOLD ME she may have accidentally shredded it and when it took too long to get it revoked at the bank to make a new one she filed a telephone court hearing over it. Which she lost.After moving out we we had more issues than I can even start to explain, just exhausting and infuriating.

When we moved in there were lots of things in the apartment that needed fixing and we were promised that they would be fixed in a timely manner. 6 Months later after contacting management multiple times there was still no repairs done. You feel like you are a criminal living here by the way you are treated by the staff. We felt like we needed to get out and there was no help from management. We had to find people to rent from us and did all the work and on top of that they made us pay $250 just to say we are moving out. When we did find someone to rent from us skyline prolonged the application process and it took almost 3 weeks to hear back from them which was just taking money out of our account. Very un professional and will not be dealing with them anymore.

I don't normally leave a review but I want to give a shoutout to Ciara from Avenue Living who made my apartment hunting experience amazing! Looking for a place can be stressful but Ciara assisted me and was very responsive and thorough throughout the process. She is very friendly and easy to talk to. She made sure I am satisfied and got the unit that suited me at Vanier Woods Apartments. Highly recommend Ciara and Avenue Living if you are looking for a place!

If you rent here just know, even if you do everything by the books and are a good tenant, they will still screw you over.My fiance and I rented a very small unit for 3 years and it had a normal amount of ware and tear other than the Living room rug which needed to be replaced due to a large stain the the steam cleaners couldn't remove. The rest was small dings, a few nail holes, some water damage to a baseboard by the shower. Regular wear that you would find after spending 3 years in 550 sq ft. My fiance was a professional cleaner and maintained everything regularly.When you first sign the contract to rent from Skyline you're given a price list for the cost of replacing everything in the unit. Our damage deposit would have covered the price of the rug and baseboard but they charged us an extra $900 on top of the $850 damage deposit. It does NOT cost $1,750 to replace 300 sq ft of rug. We refused to pay the last $600 and it was put in collections.All that aside, the units are tiny, the walls are cracking, and they constantly come into your unit to check the fire alarms, once they knocked and came in without waiting for me to respond. Very rude, unprofessional management.
