Our family has been going to D’Arcy’s in St Albert which has always been AMAZING!For Christmas this year we received a meat pack as a gift from D’Arcy’s on 106st in Edmonton and have never been more disappointed in a butcher shop. The steaks were VERY small, full of fat and tough when cooked, both the pork loin roasts that came in our pack smelt foul once defrosted and we had to throw both of them out due to the smell. 2 of the 5 packs of breakfast and beef sausage we received in the pack were not sealed properly and were also foul when defrosted and needed to be thrown out. The ground beef we got was good other than the several small bone fragments that we had to spit out. We don’t write reviews often but having to throw out the pork loin roasts because of the rotten smell made it easy. D’Arcy’s has always done us well and I’m sad to write this about one of their stores but I’ll never go back to that location.

i went in there because i seen some good reviews, but upon checking it out i see why it has a ton of bad ones. A short guy with glasses looked at me with no greet no hello, so i grabbed a couple things, i waited longer than normal so he could finish doing what ever he was doing. But before he rang me up when i asked for a bag, he muttered something at me. the guy smelt like he was on a 3 day bender, but lack of training on customer service, and an alcohol smell on employees that is a huge problem for me. i will not come back and dont want management contacting me in the future to see if i would give darcys meats another chance, Because this is the last.

Meat is always high quality, well packaged, delivered promptly, and very delicious. Customer service is top notch and everyone who works here is very friendly to deal with. We’ve never had a single bad piece of meat from them!

Great selection of quality meats, but even better customer service both in store, and online! Had a strange request that the owner replied to me about personally through email, and the in-store staff didn’t even bat an eye getting me what I was looking for. Kind and helpful all around. Looking forward to trying out more tasty items in the future!

I recently bought the beef freezer pack which included pepperoni sticks and bacon. The pepperoni sticks were disgusting. Tasted like fatty salami. I will place in garbage as not even good enough for food scraps bin. My cat even refused a bite. Likewise for pork bacon. you can better quality with maple leaf or Mitchell's. If you enjoy buying overpriced, poor quality meat, this is your place.

I have never been dissatisfied with anything I have purchased at this location. In fact the consistency in quality has certainly exceeded my expectations. I have one steak per month so I seek out quality and tonight I grilled a strip steak with a peaty scotch and the steak was perfect.

I have been to this place on multiple occasions, and let’s just say it’s not good. The quality of the meat is often very poor, smells, and just doesn’t taste good. The store itself is dirty, and also had an unpleasant odour as soon as you walk in. I have gone multiple times because I believe in second chances, but I’m now done. I have read other reviews and “the owner” blames management for all the problems this store has. They are on their 4 or 5 manager in 2 years. Sounds like the problems run deeper than current store managers. This place was getting better than last Nov. or Dec. they changed management again and its gotten really bad again. I would give it zero stars if I could. Save your money folks go elsewhere!

I have been ordering freezer packs for quite some time and have never experienced any problem with the meat. Are these complainer wanting free meat if they are not satisfied? At the price of food now I guess getting free meat is easier on the pocket book.I will still use Darcy’s Meats . Staff very accommodating on phone orders. I am not able to visit the store so delivery is important.

D'Arcy's Meat Market - South Edmonton
We have had several prime rib roasts from here ranging from 3 bone to 5 bone and every single one has been absolutely phenomenal. I mean dead silence at the dinner table, wide eyed bliss kind of phenomenal. I mean fight over the bone scraps phenomenal. The store folks are quite friendly and for what you get I completely agree with the prices. Will be back.
