Wonderful experience! I highly recommend taking the train across Canada. If you ever get the chance. It is definitely worth it. I've done it twice now and loved it both times. This last time was for my honeymoon. My husband and I had a wonderful time. The staff were so kind. The food was delicious. There's nothing like being rocked to sleep on a moving train.

A very welcoming, safe, and clean space. Everyone there was very nice and happy to do their job.Special shout out to Mark, he was very accommodating and informative with my mother, who was taking her first solo trip.

I took the train from Vancouver to Kamloops. Absolutely breathtaking and the service from START to finish at every single point of contact was award winning. This beats the heck out of flying or driving!! Smooth relaxing ride, so roomy and comfortable. I have to give an extra special thank you to Paula in Kamloops who went out of her way for myself and 2 Ukrainian newcomers. I will never forget her kindness and huge heart. IMPORTANT- we arrived at 1am at the station and it is in the northern industrial area. We all had busses leaving later in the morning and ended up outside a McDonalds for several hours. There is next to nothing open 24 hours in Kamloops so make sure you have a connecting plan or ride if arriving on this “red eye”, taxi wait times are on average 45 mins as well.

I along with my family travelled in via rail. We went to Toronto from Vancouver. Great/excellent service, wonderful scenery, excellent food, tea coffe available 24 hours. Very excellent dining coach. Wonderful staff

When my wife and I moved back to Vancouver from Toronto we decided we would go back via train instead of driving back. It turned out to be a great idea. We left towards the end of May and we traveled on sleeper berths, those are the upper and lower bunk style beds. The beds were comfortable enough but getting use to sleeping on a moving train can be a bit of a challenge.The food served is included as part of the package and it was very good. Keep in mind these people are cooking on a moving TRAIN, I can only imagine what a trick it is to do that and do it well. Tasty meals, done well and quite filling. We brought snacks with us which we barely touched. One thing to note. As it was just the two of us traveling and meal sittings are for 4 people, we had to share our table with 2 others. Not a big deal as we met interesting fellow travelers but something you should be aware of before hand.The staff on our train was second to none. First, watching how hard the cabin stewards work taking apart and reconstructing our sleeping quarters daily was impressive. Also, everyone working aboard would go out of their way to accommodate customer request if they were able to.Lastly the star of the show, the trip across Canada. You truly need to drive or take a train to get an appreciation to the size and beauty of this country. From the Canadian Shield, to the Great Plains to the Rockies it is truly awe inspiring.One last tip. Check the Via Rail website for travel deals. We were originally looking at $2500 per person per berth which we considered to be reasonable, but we found deals on the website which made the fair $950 per person, practically a steal at that price.

Beautiful scenic ride. The seats have spacious leg room and there are charging ports beside the seats. The viewing deck is a good place to stay if you want to catch a more panoramic view of the mountains,towns and lakes along the way but the window side in your seat is still beautiful. Staff are very helpful. But, the train was delayed for 8 hours so I had to pay another night/day in the place where I stayed in Vancouver which was not in my plan and budget. The toilet in the train was at some point not working. Better bring some munchies or some other food and drinks. The food that they are selling on the train are not expensive though. I expected that there was Wi-Fi because it said online that there was wifi on the train but there was none. 20 long hours trip, better be well-equipped yourself with warm blankets and pillows.

Old station and Train, you can see n taste what is old, nice experience what is train travel, we were ride from Vancouver to Jasper time 19 hours, which took us 24 hours to arrive Jasper, they kind of stopping a lot in the middle, priority for CN to go therefore we were waiting a lotttttttts. Foods are ok, can’t complaint for a 24 hours ride. Better to bring your own cup noodles if you can eat a lot of food.Btw, check out the discount tickets may found something special, we were stay at the sleep cabin.

I travelled on VIA rail train from Winnipeg to Vancouver. Wonderful experience! I highly recommend taking this train across Canada, if you ever get the chance. It is definitely worth it. The staff were so kind. The service on the way was incredible and friendly. The train was clean and safety protocols were followed. For the meal, it was delicious, matching a restaurant quality dish, accompanied by an equally delicious dessert. I highly recommend travelling with VIA rail on your next trip!

An amazing experience. Travelled to Toronto from Vancover. Travelled upper economy but service was amazing.
