I brought a watch into this shop for additional link removal/band adjustment. I was hastily told that there were no further adjustments that could be made and that I would have to accept that the watch would be loose on my wrist. As it turns out, I bought some watch repair tools on Amazon and quickly made the necessary adjustments to my watch so it fit to my liking. I was very put off by the experience and by how quickly my request was disregarded.

I brought a watch in for a simple repair (needed a new crown) in mid-May. I was told it would be 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks I called, and was told they didn’t know how long it would be. I called a few weeks later, and they had made no progress.I understand they have a lot of orders to work through, but I would have expected them to be more upfront. They should have just told me I should go somewhere else if I wanted it fixed in less than half a year.(I picked it up Monday, took it to a different clock repair place, and it’s ready today. At half the estimated repair cost.)

I've had nothing but great experiences at the Curiosity Shop. The staff are friendly and welcoming and it's a very comfortable place.I have a Tag Heuer watch that my wife got me as a birthday gift that stopped working. I love that watch so i took it to one of the big jewelry stores in town. They quoted $500 to repair the watch!I was able to get the same certified and warranted work done at the Curiosity Shop for half of that! I was shocked. They've got a loyal customer now.

Took a pendant watch in for repair and was told it would take 2 weeks for them to look at it. After 3 weeks of hearing nothing, I called and was told they were busy and wait 2 more weeks. Still no word from them until a relative inquired for me. Then was told they couldn't guarantee a repair, so I picked it up. I did get an back-handed apology about the delay, but was told their master craftsman had looked and it and I was fortunate that much was free. Guess who doesn't feel important??

My son's grandfather passed away and he had an old pocket watch from the war that he left my son. We took it in on December 2nd to get it fixed, it has the original real 12 ruby time placement jewels. Needless to say they have had it for 8 months and still have not done anything with it. I am flabbergasted at the lack of communication after they told us it would be 6 weeks. I am going to pick it up Monday to take it somewhere else. I'm sad because this place came highly recommend .

I came in for my watch battery replacement & to have links put back in my band. The guy that works there was nice, personable & was also very knowledgable. He also works REALLY FAST I was in & out in no time! Need a quick fix or watch repair I'd surely recommend going there!

A couple of weeks ago, I needed two watches looked at because the strap of a recently purchased one fell off and I could not repair it myself and I suspected the other needed a battery replacement. I used both watches daily for my work this summer. The staff was very efficient and helpful with the repairs. Both watches worked perfectly after repairs. I highly recommend them.

I have an inherited, 70-year old Rolex that nobody (and I mean NOBODY) wanted to service. After the only authorized Rolex dealer in Rochester suggested I use The Curiosity Shop, I reluctantly took my watch there.No regrets. While the watch mechanism does suffer for 50 years of neglect (there is wear), the owners have this watch running as best it can (which is really QUITE well, all told) and looking just spectacular.HUGE plus - while the watch refurbishment was total, The Curiosity Shop left elements of the patina" intact (whether intentional or not!) so the Rolex still has that "flavor" of a 70-year old watch

I found this gem of a place via google. I have a lovely Swiss watch I have not used in years. I finally brought it in to this shop. WOW. It was impressive. Owner was very nice, shop was immaculate, fair prices and great service. My watch repair was done on time. And it is a family owned and operated business. The clocks and watches they sell are unique. This is the way business ran years ago, honest and customer focused. Thank you.
