From the beginning there was a lack of communication. I wish there was a meeting with the DJ to discuss everything and go through everything to make sure we don’t miss anything especially since he was the host of the wedding. When he would announce all the announcements, he would do it once, but wouldn’t say it loud enough for the crowd to hear so we would have to get him to repeat things again. But the most disappointing thing was that he chose the wrong version for me to walk down the aisle and also he kept telling me to wait for the dramatic affect but when I finally got to walk down, the music stopped because the song was done, and he had to play the song again and I think he was using it on YouTube because an Ad played during my walk. There was a special part that I wanted to walk down and I couldn’t do that. It was very disappointing.

We ended up going with Bob Hawkins as we wanted someone local to the New Market area. We were really happy with our DJ! He played a variety of Polish and Cambodian music (which made both our families happy!) and he really understood the vibes we wanted. While it was not easy to meet the DJ beforehand, we did have a phone conversation prior to the wedding and that made me feel better overall just so that we could talk over the phone about what the expectations were for the day. I wish I could have gotten a more exact day and time as when the DJ did call, I was not prepared and this left this bride in tears from all the stress and really wanting to make a good connection with our DJ. After said and done, everything worked out. Our guests loved our DJ and he was so great!He played some amazing club music and listened to our guests with their requests. Overall, very happy with our DJ. He was also our MC and worked with our Wedding Coordinator as well as our musical performers who played dinner music. I know the night was not easy (changes were made to the itinerary) but he was easy to work with! We also rented lawn games (Connect 4, Corn Hole and Jenga)- the games were a huge hit and were fun especially with our venue (WaterStone Estate & Farms). They have so many options for rentals – I would highly recommend you check them out! Overall, we are happy with our service!

I don't usually write reviews but felt the need to here. From start to finish Bob Hawkins DJ service was excellent to deal with. Switching dates was seamless and our DJ genuinely added to our wedding with his energy and professionalism. Highly recommended!

Bob Hawkins DJ services came recommended from our wedding venue. We were very happy with our DJ for both our ceremony and reception. All the songs I requested were played and enjoyed. The song mix was perfect and kept our guests happy! He accommodated us by starting the dance portion when requested and made announcements to keep with the flow of the night. Everyone had a great time and we were so happy with how everything came together!

Thank you so much to our awesome DJ! Bob did a fantastic job playing great music and having everyone dancing on the floor! Everything flowed beautifully and he worked great around our little schedule changes. Couldn’t be more happy with our experience!! He came all the way out to Oro Medonte to help us celebrate our special day. We will be recommending to our friends and family.Edit: you never hear anything about what goes wrong on your wedding day when you are the bride. We were happy however some important family members didn’t not necessarily agree upon DJ set up/arrival.

Just a disappointing experience from start to finish. Once we were all signed up, The VP of the company, Robert seemed rather flat to me and not very inviting. I Didn’t feel comfortable to ask questions all the way through. I had to force myself to call if I had a question. He sounded friendly enough at first when I first inquired. But once we were all booked, if I had any cause to call, he always sounded very rushed and distant, Even though his emails would always state that he welcomed any questions or inquiries. I understood that he was busy. But, everyone in the wedding industry is busy and I didn’t feel like that with anyone else. Everyone else we dealt with was so gracious. Then the day of the wedding, the assigned DJ arrived at the church dressed very poorly. I promise we are not the kind of people who would ever mention someone’s appearance, if it didn’t really stand out. But it was hard not to notice. I noticed it as soon as I walked in to the church to walk down the aisle. And then we have had a steady stream of guests mentioning it, especially now as they have looked at their pictures they took. The other issue was his facial expression and general demeanour. People said he seemed mad because he had the wrong arrival time I guess. He was early at the church which I guess made him rushed for the reception. Even though The VP had stated in his email to me that the DJ would set up at the reception venue first at 1pm. But he didn’t. He went to the church at 1pm for a 3pm service. Then he was in a big rush setting up at the reception venue and was overheard being very rude to the coordinator, demanding a podium that hadn’t been previously requested by them. We had guests who said he sounded like he was going to leave and that was a huge worry for us.And although he had thrown on a wrinkled shirt over top of his tight T-shirt he wore for the church service, his appearance, facial expression and body language just didn’t seem good. I will say that he played all the songs correctly that we provided in our questionnaires and we were very grateful for that.People have started to send us pictures they took in the church and everyone is commenting about his appearance in the background. And he was the first thing everyone saw, including me when my son walked me into the church to walk me down the aisle. Just disappointing…especially after not feeling a very warm feeling from the VP, Robert during the planning stage.Happily, it wasn’t enough to spoil an otherwise perfect wedding day and a fabulous honeymoon!!Christine F and Norm R

We are so happy we hired Bob Hawkins Professional Disc Jockey Service to DJ our wedding at Holland Marsh Wineries in Newmarket Ontario. From the day we hired this company right up until our wedding day, Robert Hawkins was professional, organized and extremely knowledgeable in this field. He was always available to answer any questions we had and he responded to our inquiries in a timely manner. He really took the stress away from planning! We also hired this company to set up a photobook during our reception and we received so many compliments about the great service!! Bob Hawkins has a large list of add ons to any event including lawn game rentals, lighting and special effects, classic car rentals, slideshow creation and so much more! We cannot recommend this company enough!!

We can not say enough good things about this company. We planned our wedding in a very short time period and they made this experience so easy. From the set up of our outdoor ceremony to the amazing music and lights inside the hall, the whole experience was spectacular. Literally all of our guest raved about the music as danced the night away.And talk about going the extra mile, they also helped us find our wedding photographer (who was also amazing) which was such a blessing.If you want to have a great celebration and work with an absolutely lovely human being... this is the company for you!!!!

If we could do our wedding all over again, we would pick Bob Hawkins again to DJ our wedding!Robert and his team were amazing to work with, very easy to speak to and understood the assignment!
