The Oats Kafe
Tucked away in a quiet alcove off Bay St.Lots of variety of food items including banh mi, summer rolls, rice+meat.I got the pork belly banh mi and a peach kumquat fruit tea. The banh mi was delicious bread had that crunchy outside but soft inside, the pate was so creamy and the porkbelly succulent with nicely not too fatty pieces. The tea was nice and refreshing, nothing particularly outstanding but was good for a humid day.Not a lot of seating especially if you are a group of more than 2. But there is free wifi.

The staff were friendly. My coffee and oatmeal got ready in about 20mins. I like the idea of making my own oatmeal and choosing my toppings. I chose oat for the base, toppings I decided to go with strawberry, almond, and coconut; and for sweetener, I chose Nutella. It tasted fresh and yummy. I got the small Caramel Machiato as well with oat as the base. It tasted good, however, not the best I've had. I felt like it was too sugary for my liking and couldn't really taste the caramel. They have some very good-looking items on their menu, and I'd be interested in coming back and trying more of their items. And the place looks very cute and cozy. It would make for a nice spot to come, have a small meal, and read on a weekend!

This just might be my new study spot! Came here today based on positive reviews, and I was not disappointed. I ordered a banh mi and Vietnamese coffee (it is one of two combos offered), and later a lavender London fog; all three things were so delicious. The wifi is reliable and the place itself is cozy. My only complaint" is that it was a little chilly inside

Really enjoyed my coffee and the cookies were good, too. Staff are friendly! It’s tucked away so a bit quieter than other downtown coffee shops, which I like. Will be back to try out more than the cookies and coffee!

Visited to find a replacement for R&S, as they’re a bit pricey and too far out of my way. The drinks are well made-both caffeinated and non-caffeinated with more options. However, the banh mi was extremely disappointing. It was 6 bread and rest ingredients. I’ve never seen one so flat. I don’t think I’ll come back for the banh mi but will definitely stop by again for the drinks and a mid-day break.

If you’re craving Vietnamese coffee, this is the spot. Great space with lots of windows, if you want to sit down to hangout or do some work. No parking in front of the cafe and very limited Green P parking on this street.

Incredible food and coffee! Awesome and friendly staff! It’s a nice, pretty and warm store. I came for the Vietnamese banh mi and decided to get the coffee combo to try out their coconut coffee. The two girls were so friendly and helpful. They also very patient with me and I very appreciate that since I know I have a lot of requests. The banh mi is very nice. One of the best Vietnamese banh mi I’ve ever tried in Toronto. The coconut coffee actually reminds me of the flavor I had in Vietnam.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I’m loyalty customer at The Oaks, from last year when they just opened the store. I really love their banhmi until today, they change everything like the vietnamese bun, protein, pickles, sauce,….- vietnamese bun before more soft, and crunchy,- Protein which is lemongrass beef before moisture and more flavor now is dry and the smell of beef too heavy- Pickles they use the shredded in small and add a lot now is like a jokeMoreover, I prefer old staff more friendly.

Cute little cafe tucked in a corner of the street. Great location to meet someone or to just do some work. Their drinks are a bit sweet but very good otherwise. Will be back to try their Bahn Mi sometime!

Great little coffee shop with space to sit inside the store.Coffee is amazing i paid around 5 for the classic viet cofee and it was strong and tasted great. Definitely better than Starbucks and all the other chain coffees.Staff are friendly and place is clean inside.
