EDIT:Needed to edit my review after most recent visit. I am a vegetarian and have been going to Melina’s for years. When I first started coming I asked about how the food was cooked and they said the food was made on the same flattop, but I should not worry as there is there is no meat contact with any of the other foods. I even continued to note this just in case on numerous visits but was always assured that no contact occurs between the meats and other foods (not told they were making any special exceptions, but that it does not happen). On my visit today (June 6, 2022) I found a strip of bacon, not a small piece, it was about half a strip which I should have taken a picture of, in my hash browns. I do understand mistakes happen, but it was the response that was most uncomfortable for me. I notified my waitress and explained that I was a vegetarian and she responded “you should have told me then” my partner then attempted to explain that I had questioned on numerous occasions and was always assured that there is no contact and her response was then “how am I expected to remember you”, but as I mentioned earlier they made no previous impression that they were making any special exceptions, otherwise I would have notified her, obviously not expecting them to remember me. Unfortunately I have not had this experience at other establishments despite being a vegetarian for 9 years and Its not typically necessary to ask that something which is not listed as an ingredient be excluded from my food. Regardless, I would just expect a better response or even in a more kind tone. She did end up asking if I wanted something else but she already made me uncomfortable and I had lost my appetite.ORIGINAL POST:Melina’s is always great. Cheap prices for the classic breakfast and big portions. Has been my go-to breakfast place for the last 3 years and the food never disappoints. I’ll definitely be back again and again.Only downfall is they only take cash, they have an atm but there’s a fee of about $2.50.

My partner and I came in between breakfast and lunch for brunch.He had the Big Breakfast.It came with three eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, home fries and toast.I had a mushroom and cheese omelette with home fries and toast.We ordered onions in our home fries.We both had coffee to drink.The meal was fantastic.Both were hearty meals for a very good price.It was lots of food.Our server Diana was a gem.So pleasant and helpful.This was our third time dining here.It's our new breakfast/brunch place!Ample parking.Open from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm every day but Friday, when they're open until 8:00 pm.Please note that they only take cash, and not debit or credit.Highly recommend.

Absolutely love this place! The staff are the sweetest people you could hope for and the food is fantastic. I come here (almost) every Sunday with my boyfriend and everyone remembers us (and even what I like to order!) If you’re looking for amazing food and exceptional service this is the place for you.

Reasonable prices and good food. The lost are full of cars. Be prepared to wait for your food. This place is busy, because it's so good, but if you're in a hurry judge by the parking lot. Quick with coffee refills.

We had a party of 16 and our waitress was absolutely amazing. Our food was comforting and great tasting. It's my first time here and I'll definitely be coming back. Thank you for making my first time a good time.

It was my first and last time there. The coleslaw was rotten, black and mouldy, no idea why they even sent it out. Staff in the kitchen were yelling F-shots at each other over some sort of argument while there were small kids around. Little to no mayo on my husbands sandwich. Service was ok but they should have seen the rotten coleslaw. Went because of the good reviews, but now I believe the bad reviews.

Amazing breakfast dropped in on a Thursday around 1030 and food was super fast and delicious.. I ordered the eggs Benny on the server’s suggestion and it was one of the best I have had in the Niagara region as well as the home fries were delicious and I usually hate home fries everywhere
