We ordered a classic chicken burger, two fish and shrimp combos and an pieces combo. Chicken was definitely crunchy not greasy like other fried chicken place in town. My husband found the chicken burger a little dry but still good for its price. The chicken combo was a little too salty for our taste. I ordered the mild one but the kids ( 5, 7 , 10yrs old) felt that they were still too spicy for them. The fish and shrimp combo were also flavoured. I think they are Cajun battered. We had 4 different sides: mashed potatoes with gravy, Cajun fries, onion rings and coleslaw. The coleslaw was sweet and creamy. The sides were good. Better to eat them fresh.Overall, I think we would go back for the Chicken burger for sure. They have 5 or 6 sauces to choose from. Maybe the chicken combo although they are a bit more salty and flavoured. (We will prep more drink next time.) Probably not the fish and shrimp (too spicy for my kids)

I am disappointed in customer service. I received my INCOMPLETE order at 5:15. I told the girl in charge (Riya) that the order was incomplete, to which she rudely and contemptuously assured me that she had given it completely. I mean, In a nutshell, she treated me like a liar or maybe even a thief. I had to ask her to come out of it and see for herself. My children were surprised by her attitude. She offered a grudging apology and said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Being 6:00, I decided to ask for the order. It turns out they didn't even try to make it. So I had to ask for the money back. How frustrating. Victoria has been characterized by having the best service in BC. Could it be that this franchise, being the only one on the Island, believes that its clients should accept everything? For my part, it will be the last time here. I emphasize that my consumption in this place, whether in online orders or to go and eat there, has been three or more per week. I firmly believe that things can happen in a restaurant, but lack of respect and dismissive treatment is unacceptable. I hope that when you hire staff, you consider that they will be people who will not damage your company's name.I forgot that the potatoes today looked quite soggy. I mean, they didn't look fresh anywhere.

I've been here twice and I'm convinced it's the best fast food chicken in town.First time I had the chicken deluxe burger and it was so crunchy! And fresh! I've never had breading crunch quite like that before, second time I had the chicken tenders, they were not as fresh nor was the breading even close to the crunch the first time....but, even when it's not fresh it is STILL better fast food chicken than anywhere else. It's large, juicy, actual chicken pieces and you get what you pay for. I'm satisfied. The restaurant could have a better layout, it's awkward to stand and wait for your order because it's right at the door you come in and it gets crowded quickly, they need to rearrange some stuff. I would suggest having orders on the left, pickups on the right, soda machine where the trash cans are and carve out some benches on the opposite wall to put the trash cans. Take out the soda machine area and have people line up on that side to order.Restaurant is pretty clean, benches were a bit small. All in all, love it and will be back thanks!

Super fast service; that bothered me.Canadian chicken is less fat, more tasty than Louisianan. Traditional taste, very good - like spicy.Size of sides has shrunk; red beans and rice in Canada taste different.Customer service was fantastic, timeliness suspect, place-environment cramped but acceptable.I will visit again.I recommend this place to my friends.

I love their chicken and fries and most items on the menu actually but the service here is just awful. Like I want to eat here so bad but my order has been wrong and missing items so many times that I just can’t bring myself to come back.I tried to contact them about missing biscuits and sandwiches in my order I picked up from the store and the Manager didn’t offer any resolution aside from asking me to text their personal number if I was going to the store so they could talk to me then.Back to the service, the front counter staff often just stand there and stare at you. I was waiting for my order to be taken once and the girl pulled her phone out and scrolled her facebook and sent messages in whatsapp before finally putting her phone away. Finally the cashier beside her called me over and at that time the cellphone girl decided to take the order of the person behind me.Probably my favorite fried chicken here in victoria but like I said, the service is just awful and not worth returning.

First time trying Popeye's Chicken: Chicken was pretty damn good. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Flavour was insanely delicious. Where they lost three stars was their fries, gravy and complete lack of customer service.Star One Loss: Fries, I swear were microwaved or if not they were sitting for a very very long time. Fries were soggy, chewy and showed no evidence of ever being deep fried. Of course they were deep fried, but it is what happened after that point. Best way to compare them? Fries from last night. Sitting for way too long?Second star: Along with the ice cold soggy fries came gravy that was cold. When I say cold, I mean cold. Not even warm.Third Star: When approaching the so called shift manager, there was nothing they could do. No exchange, no refund, no nothing. That said she did take my number to give to the manager. The manager was much like the fries and gravy. So cold he couldn't even return my call to fix this issue before this review.IMO: order the chicken, you will not regret it. Gawd please do not waste your time on the sides. Two out of two failures with a complete disregard to quality and the willingness to resolve a little issue like fries and gravy, that is a serious failure by the management.Management is like the fries: soggy, chewy and not even sub par.

It's a hard place to find in Vancouver but I found it here. It doesn't taste bad, but it tastes little bit salty because the dough is lumped on top of the chicken.

The Popeyes chicken burger is amazing. The second best fast food burger in history. The service was great and speedy too. Highly recommend, hope to see more Popeyes in Victoria.

The spicy breast meat chicken along with a hearty dollop of their great Louisiana hot sauce at Popeye's Chicken is absolutely terrific! It is incredibly tasty, and although I sometimes get heartburn from foods that are too spicy, I never have that situation with Popeye's chicken. It's a restaurant that knows how to make fried chicken of genuine quality. Their onion rings are also super, and even better than A&W onion rings because they are not at all greasy but nice and crispy.
