I had their team come and help me at my rental trimming a hedge. I could NOT believe how quickly and efficiently they handled it. They were prompt, clean, and gave a quote they stuck to and gave me great advice about the other trees that are surrounding my property. Truly incredible how easy and amazing they were to deal with! Id HIGHLY recommend for hedges, trees, and any jobs big or small they are incredible!

I contacted VI Tree Service after speaking with Tim their Ops Supervisor in the Fraser Lake area. I had a large dangerous dead spruce that needed to be removed ASAP. They stepped up and had it removed and cleaned up in 2.5 hrs the next day at a very fair price. Very customer oriented and professional experience. Great work guys, thank you.

After a BIG windstorm blew through our neighbourhood, we were in need of tree help. One trunk of the tree landed on our house & when it came down, it exposed the rot inside the 2 remaining trunks. VI Tree Services brought in their crane lift & safely removed all 3 HUGE trunks. Job well done!

Probably one of the best businesses I have dealt with in my entire life of living on this island (which BTW is a long time). They received my web request and called promptly the very next morning. The person came to give a quote with in a day or two and showed up EARLY (how awesome is that). The work was scheduled a few days after that. Again, the workers showed up EARLY. They did an outstanding job taking the trees down and cleaning up. I was really impressed by this business. Other businesses on Vancouver Island could use a few etiquette lessons from this one.

Troy the owner drove during the Christmas holiday season from Cedar South Nanaimo to spider Lake Qualicum Beach to save our Cat who had been stuck in up a tree 100 feet up for 3 days during cold winter -11 tempurature!He was so kind and amazing to us, and got our Poor kitty down safely and quickly. We would have been lost without him. We will never forget his generosity. After Troy's efforts he refused to take payment!We recommend his services to anyone for anything. There are not many people like this around. Genuine kind hearted man.

Reacting to the discovery of a large tree that fell on a property, we had contacted a local tree removal company who promised to get to our needs that night, followed by the next morning, then later in the afternoon.While we were waiting for that to happen, we had called VI Tree Services who told us that they could do the work that day.As the day progressed, VI Tree Services called and asked if the work was done and that they had crews and cranes in the area and that the work could be done in about an hour.We accepted their offer. However, as the day turned into night, their crew and crane showed up in the dark. The crane operator complained that he was not comfortable that his crane would do the work. It was also very dark and the truck had no exterior work lights making the site dangerous to work.I informed the supervisor that the job could not be completed. I was told that they would be back in the following morning.They came back with a different crew, and a larger crane truck.I received a Hugh bill for several hours worth of work. I was told after the job that the bill would be high due to extra payroll costs. I was told that we are responsible for all costs, failed work or otherwise because it was hourly. Yet, we were charged a management fee. A fee I thought would be for professional management and understanding of the work that needs to be done.We are disputing some of those charges.Unfortunately, there are other trees that we want to take down, but we will not deal with this company ever again.Update: We worked with VI Tree Services through the dispute process where we amicably resolved the problem that caused us to question the higher than expected charge. We have added two stars for the work that was done by their crew the following day - which we found professional and expedient.

If this is what you call professional, I am sorry but we have a different definition then. Left a bunch of dead tree pieces inside the trees.. just pick up what was on the floor I guess. My dad of 70yo does a better job than that! Shame

We had VITree top two large fur trees surrounding our deck. The team was professional and very responsive to our concerns to the specific length of tree we wanted removed. Highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Ben came over tonight on short notice, we had a cat way up in the tree. Then did a quick assessment, set up his lines and rescued the cat in the safe and kind way. Very professional, and cannot recommend highly enough.
