This place has a lot of history!If you're here, do read their signs and you'll get to learn a lot about the history of this place! The signs on the graves are mostly in Mandarin!

Chinese Cemetery
This historically important" Cemetery was founded a year before Cumberland was "recognized" as a community! It is made up of two Cemeteries-- one for the Japanese and the other for the Chinese communities. Leading up to the development of the lovely/interesting town of Cumberland was the development of mining and logging companies... which found it essential to hire "hard/productive workers"... hence the founding of these two communities... both of which have well defined rituals relating to deaths. The cemeteries are well kept

Chinese Cemetery
The sign has lots of information, worth reading.The graveyard itself is rather empty, however, there may be more down the path. Unfortunately, I did not get to venture all the way down this path, but next time I shall definitely do so. The location is easy to get to. Calming place.
