Riverwood Square Retirement Living

Riverwood Square may appear to be a very prestigious place to live. It truly IS a beautiful space, but more importantly its the most caring, connected, warm place I could imagine my parent's living. The staff is genuine. My parent's have been very fortunate to have found a home here.

Probably the best retirement home in the city. The building is always clean, the staff is always friendly, and the care given to each resident is the very best!

Started at Riverwood as a family member of a resident and then became staff. It is the best job I have ever had. As a loved one, it is so clear how much the staff cares for the residents; as staff, I can say that I care very deeply for the residents in this building. I am glad my grandparents live here.

My grandparents have lived at Riverwood since 2019 and they have loved every minute of it. The management is organized and respectful and truly care about the residents and the building. I strongly believe this is the place you want your family to live. It is a great building for people to start on the Landing/Assisted Living side and should they need, they can easily move over to the Harmony Court/Memory Care side whenever they need. It is in a convenient location with beautiful scenery, the Courtyard is so lovely in the summer. The staff truly care about the family of their residents as well and try to get to know every person as an individual and not just someone visiting the building. I have also worked in the building for 2 years and I have enjoyed my colleagues and making connections with the residents. Riverwood Square feels like a family and I would highly recommend Riverwood to anyone looking for assisted living or supportive housing! A wonderful building.

My parent has been living in this place for over a year. The care given to my parent at best is minimal. They don’t monitor the person every hour like they say. They shower the person once a week. They are left to wonder everywhere without a companion around to watch. Several times I have seen companions all talking together ignoring their responsibilities or on the phone. I am not happy with this place at allFor the amount of money you have to pay for this place it’s not worth it at all.

Unlawful policies prohibit my family from being able to visit in the premises and these same policies contradict the safety aspect by allowing that person to be allowed out of the facility for visitation.Take a look at how your policies negatively affect the mental health of human beings more than they arguably save.My family has visited other elderly persons in the family throughout the pandemic with zero issues.Your policies effectively have robbed my son of precious time that could have been spent bonding with family that is held captive in your facility. By supporting policies like this you help create a two tiered society built on discrimination.

I work here as a support worker for a very sweet client and everytime I leave her after my shift, I say She's in good hands 24/7 even if I'm not here".. The receptionist? They are the nicest people I've met in Canada so far."

I am living next door building and my place facing to their patio area. They play loud musics at the outdoor area even after 8 jn the evenings. Maybe their residents somewhat enjoy it but i hate that they being not considerate to people living at next door. It is super annoying and nuisance.

This an excellent facility. I needed to find a place for my father who needed some care (more care than he was willing to ever admit!) I felt he was well take care of here, all of his needs were met and knowing he was safe gave me such peace of mind. During his time here there was a bit of a COVID outbreak and the staffs quick response and coordination to keep all the residents safe and healthy was excellent in my opinion. I would have no problem recommending this place to anyone. 10 stars if I could give them!!
