Chocolato - Saint-Jean
Wonderful shop. Too many great treats to mention. We had dipped cones and also bought a chocolate and caramel pie for the hotel. The pie was especially good - very creative and it was full of high quality ingredients. You could taste the difference versus generic or mass produced desserts. The staff were friendly and service was good. Prices were a bit high, but what you would expect for specialty products in a tourist area. The interior of the store was very creative and it was also very clean. We will be back, thanks.

Amazing ice cream dip in chocolate!! One of the best I ever had! We came here two days in a row. Holiday hours start from 5pm to 10pm!

Very cool and sweet place, the decor is pretty and original. The staff is so nice and welcoming. They take the time to respond to your questions with good answers. They get a lot of customers but handle it, manage it really well. Their products are good quality and are worth the price. Chocolato St-Jean is always a go to place to fill your belly

Amazing gelato, wonderful hot chocolate, incredible confections, all in a location and setting that can’t be beat. Nestled in the beautiful storybook ambience and ancienne régime architecture of Old Quebec, Chocolato Saint-Jean is sure to please any sweet tooth. Their fresh-made, broad array of handmade gelatos range from excellently executed traditionals like hazelnut chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, to wildly eccentric but perfectly punchy and oh-so-right sour patch kids and blue raspberry. You’ll find yourself visiting often, an absolute must-visit!

Stopped by after dinner for a treat after passing by the previous day. We didn't experience any issues like other reviews. Sure, tables were moved and not put back, and they probably could have paid more attention to wiping them down. But we easily found a clean one, even tho it was fairly busy. Service was fast and polite. Even took the extra effort to get the staff member who spoke the best English to answer questions.

I didn’t like it. They charged me wrong price.Also dipped ice cream was too soft and dripping all over me while eating. The coating chocolate wasn’t crispy and had a plastic texture! I through it away

Awful service, it was my first time there, I saw everybody getting something delicious and I would like to try but the staff didn’t offer nothing but chocolate and vainilla, I don’t speak French and they weren’t helpful at all. I asked for a topic and they just say “NO”. If my daughter and nice weren’t waiting for their ice cream I could just left. No coming back.

Came here for dipped doft ice cream.This spot is located on the busy touristy area of Old Quebec and on the busy St Jean street.While we were here in Quebec City, this section of St Jean street is pedestrian only which makes for a nice atmosphere. Not sure if the street closure is just for summer or not.As I mentioned we came for soft serve. I got a small vanilla soft serve in a waffle cone and dipped in milk chocolate. I was full by the time I got to the end. It's a lot of sugar...but oh so tasty. The ice cream is rich, and the chocolate is top quality.The price is competitive to the other ice cream places nearby.I would come here again.

Really not sure what the all the bad reviews are about.After reading the recent reviews we hesitated to go here, but decided to give it a shot nevertheless since it was close by.We got a chocolate brownie sundae and were not disappointed. Would recommend it for the chocolate brownie sundae
