Was here for the Ottawa open door day. They were very prepared, informative and welcoming. Never realized the extent of their good work. Definitely added to my list of charities.

Really nice to take a dog away from someone in need permanently. To not even provide the courtesy of letting them say goodbye to their guide dog is downright unforgivable. If anyone is looking for a dog in the future I will NEVER recommend this organization. The way they treat the people who lease their dogs is absolutely disgusting.

Loved working there. Trainers and staff were all great people. Got to meet people from all over Canada who came to stay and work with their guide dog before taking them home. Hearing their stories about how the dogs improved their lives and allowed them to live independently-- and how grateful they were to CGDB and even someone like me who worked in the kennels-- was touching. Each dog I worked with was wonderful

My late husband Robert had the service and love of a guide dog Riff for many years.Riff allowed my husband to move about in life with independence, security and companionship.I still can not believe how well matched they were-both loving and independent-a bond for many years. When my husband died, the Canadian Guide Dogs allowed Riff a well deserved retirement to our home.He provided many years of love and security to my children and grandchildren-but most of all to me. Riff recently died but I am forever thankful to Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind

An awesome charity providing a great service. Although not usually open to the public, we went to visit on doors open Ottawa 2017 and got to see a demonstration of how their dogs do their jobs as well as learn more about the process overall. Did you know they retain ownership of all dogs do that they can go back to them any time and check on their welfare? The clients are carefully selected and never had any problems, but it's a nice safety measure to ensure that these dogs are of service to those most in need

Obvious there isn't a negative thing to be said about a place that gives people their independence back!
