Rez-One Hespeler House

Really poor parking management, there’s a. 2 hour window to park for free, and after 1 hour, i saw some guy marking my cars tire and who gives the right to someone, to put a mark on my car, and also the guy putting on marks was really rude and not even listening to any one.

This building is okay at the very best. The wifi is SO TERRIBLE. I’ve lived here since it opened on September 3 and since then, I’ve been in CONSTANT communication with their ISP, which has proved futile. I’m a student and I can’t access my student portal or watch movies or FaceTime in my room. There are times when I cry because the frustration is too much. I’ve done all I can do but yet the problem remains. Living in a new building is very tough but Rez one makes it tougher. All their buildings are exactly the same, with the same sub par management. I moved out of Bridgeport house after 3 years and ended up at Hespeler after a 2 years break. I regret it because I’m failing my classes all due to the wifi. I hate it here

Honestly, for the high rent price this is not worth it at all. Wifi is garbage and barely works, 100% not suitable for a STUDENT house where students needs to work online. Units are cheaply constructed with thin walls, appliances are installed poorly (my toilet is loose and wobbly, so is my doorknob). There's a gym, but it closes at 8pm each day (even though it's never staffed?). There's other things to complain about but considering the fact that the owners are charging $1000 per room (this means they're making $4000 per suite!!), you'd think everything would actually be built and maintained to an appropriate standard.Do not get a place here, they are trying to overcharge students for rental units which are not worth it.

Wifi is TERRIBLE. And they claim rooms are 'heated', and every night is like chilly death.-Incident: I contacted the Commu Networks (the internet provider) and they said, 'what password are you even typing?'. I said, 'the one my building staff gave'. They replied, 'Oh we see what's wrong, your password is wrong. Because building management has distributed the wrong passwords'.-Long-story short, almost everyone's wifi is connecting to wrong rooms. If I live in 102, my devices connect to the router 104, and vice versa. Why? Because of wrong router passwords!

Had to sublet for a 4 month term. went into the room and yuck. the main air inlet had loads of dust accumulated. I assumed that with 1000$ rent per room in the suite the maintenance would be really good. The washroom was also very badly kept. I wish the building people had inspected the room before the person sublet it. That way it helps to reduce the amount of cleaning required by the next person moving in. These school kids may not have the time to keep the room and bathroom spic and span but it can be maintained at least in a decent way. I wish I had taken pictures before I had occupied the room. I would not suggest this place to any kid coming in especially with covid situation going on now. The UWC places were in a much better shape than this.

AWFUL PARKING MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!! They have very inhumane parking restrictions. There is no way to extend the parking after their office hours unless a parking ticket, even only half an hour longer. After two hours your car will be photographed by security. They marked the tire and reported immediately. Responsible Security but Poor Visiting Experience.

The marketing is all misleading. It was advertised as if there was so much amenities here. The gym closes too early and the games room is a ping pong table and a pool table… but you have to bring your own stuff. Imagine paying so much money just to have buy your own billiards set. Im not going to buy a whole billiards set just so I can play here. And the study rooms aren’t even that nice.

Refuse to give key deposit unless paying whatever the radicular charge they set when move out(e.g. missing mattress cover is 100 dollars, common room is 65 dollars)
