Church Street Junior Public School

Kid went to this school since Kindergarten til sixth grade. Honestly the worst school in the neighbourhood, and unfortunately, the only public elementary school there. Don’t enroll your children there. By far the worst in educating your young ones properly. Wait until they go into seventh grade - they won’t be able to catch up to their studies. Also bullying is rampant. They say they are serious with their anti-bullying prevention and education, but they do NOTHING - just a warning for the bully and they would be off to do it again.

Went to this school as a child, while I absolutely hated the principle there and misbehaved as a kid it was likely due to issues at home not the actual school.The school is a very nice facility though a little bit hampered now (they removed the playgrounds...) I'd recommend it to parents not because of the teachers but because of the area it's in.The diversity in my class as well as the location right on church street definitely led me to a greater understanding of different cultures & ways of life.

I am so grateful for this school and a huge big thanks to the principal Mr. lasso the best I’ve ever came across, also Mr. Lee and Miss Miederos. You all have made such an impact on me and my daughters lives. Church street Public School and the community is nothing without you guys.

This school claims to have a no tolerance bullying policy yet the principal is allowing children to get away with bullying, constant disrespectful and disruptive behaviour. I do not recommend Church Street Public School to any parent!

Great downtown location, wonderful teachers. Play area for kids outdoor and a nice soccer field.

Great school with less extra curricular activities. Teachers are keep taking off and provided supply teacher isn’t capable to manage politely. Overall great location in downtown with good soccer field. They should improve academic and extra curriculum activities.

This school was not the best. This school did have a few good teachers. But this school is absolutely terrible at dealing with bullying, I remember getting bullied and school and when I went to the principal and instead of dealing with it he would just dismiss it and leave, it was causing the bullying to get worse.I remember the french class being absolutely terrible during the time I went. All we did was listen to french music and he would force us to sing it or he would take out a random word from the dictionary and would ask us to translate it and would get mad when we can't, by the time I reached grade 7 my french was so far behind that I failed my first two tests. But this was when I was there (September 2017 - June 2020) i am not sure if that french teacher is still there.Overall I don't recommend going to this school.

Don't put your kids here. The principal does nothing about bullying, it continues and they ask you to participate to stop it.

At first I didn’t like it but since my son moved to another school I realized how good church public school is my son missed them still and I’m going to register him back to church school
