A great experience buying an electric guitar. The sales staff were very helpful, and very forthcoming about the financial incentives (discounts and financing options), without which I would have not been able to afford the instrument.

I bought all the musical instruments & accessories from Long & McQuaide for my kids as they've grown over the last 15 years or so, violins, acoustic guitars & today an electric guitar. We've never been disappointed by their products or service. The biggest problem I have when we go there is staying on budget because there's so much we want to buy there. :)

I know little about instruments but the sales people are always very helpful, answering questions and helping me find the best thing for my kids. They offer options and are not pushy. It's obvious they are musicians first and sales second.

I have bought two guitars from L&McQ in the last year. One new, one used. Service and selection is great. The big plus is the performance warranty. This includes a free set-up. This applies to both new and used sales. The amount of work that was put into the used (entry-level) guitar really elevated it. Not just a simple string height adjustment but fret leveling and edge dressing. The guitar plays great! If you are looking for a good deal on a guitar, I would keep an eye on the used selection and then get the set-up. Can’t go wrong!

They’re just okay, I been to this location many times. No one approaches you for help, even when you’re in line of sight. All the main staff gather and talk about their weekend, bands, artist over the counter. I brought my guitar to get setup and again I had to call to see if it was ready. Came back home with mediocre setup, scratches on the back of the neck, pick guard, string rails were not even on, stringing was too much. (Posted pictures) Not what I expected from a “professional tech”. The location is convenient , the sale guy are ok, just okay… only when you approach them they will help. It reminds me of shopping at Walmart. They all seem available, just not willing to make the first move. I’ll be going to any other long & macquade but I’m done with the staff at this location. It’s a “Bro” Group

Wonderful place to shop at. Stopped by the store periodically over a 4 months span while deciding on a piano to buy and never once dealt with pushy sales staff. Staff are extremely knowledgable and will help you get the best option within your budget, they do not try and upsell. Ended up buying a Casio CDP- S160 and the sales staff bought it outside and loaded it into my car for me, which I did not expect. Came back a few days later to get monitoring headphones and again the staff were helpful, showing me multiple options in my budget, and letting me try them all out before purchasing.

If I could give the Hunt club location a no-star review I absolutely would...Because of the horrible customer service over the telephone, I mean it was really bad, I instead gave the Kanata location $3,000 in sales but even though I had to drive an additional 40 minutes out of my way, it was totally worth it.Back to the Hunt club location, Whoever Andrew is, so-called sales rep who took my phone call earlier that day, I just wanted to ask some simple questions.Andrew, you really need to stop mistreating people, as in condescending mocking and plain disrespectful...Then I asked to speak to the manager after giving up with this guy and his bad information, after about a 3 minute hold, it became even worse, the manager came on with a condescending attitude asking what it is I needed and so I told him about Andrew disrespecting me with absolutely no justification, that's when the store manager" started replying
