Parkside Animal Hospital

Just moved here and brought in my cat Sophie. Dr. Zak was amazing with her. Receptionists and assistants were lovely. I have always had terrible experiences with vets; Parkside Animal Hospital is by far the best vet I've been to. I highly recommend. Thank you so much for making Sophie feel comfortable and loved. Brought my Malinois working dog (not friendly), here to get neuter.Dr. Zak was very patient and amazing with him. Great experience from consultation, blood work and explanation of the process.Surgery went very well with good recovery.Receptionist is very friendly and welcoming.Great price with amazing treatment!Thank you!

I took my sick cat in because he had stopped eating and drinking. I thought I was going in to put him down. It was only a bad tongue infection! The team was so caring and compassionate. I highly recommend this vet! Thank you for saving my cat!

As a first time dog owner, I was a little nervous about finding a good, affordable, and reliable vet but Parkside checks all of the boxes! Dr. Zak is so amazing and always makes sure he sits down with you to discuss what he’s doing during each appointment. I’ve never felt anything “pushed” on me, he just shares his knowledge and I trust him fully! Every time you walk through the door you’re greeted by a friendly face behind the desk as well! Miss Callie loves the team and so do I! Definitely recommend this vet for anyone searching:)

By far the best animal hospital I’ve ever been to!Dr. Zaki was extremely accommodating and kind when it came to all my concerns and my cat’s well being. You can tell he genuinely cares about you and your pet.He got me in the same day and had me call back the next day to update him whether good or bad.On top of that, his staff is great and the cost is very affordable.It has taken years to find a regular vet that I like and trust. I now understand why all the reviews are 5 stars. I’ll be recommending parkside to everyone :)

Do your homework. Worst vet experience I’ve ever had, do not bring your animal here!I got my dog neutered and his dew claws removed at parkside animal hospital. At the pre op I was satisfied with the vet and the price. I did however ignore a few red flags. 1 being they have no examination rooms, He talked to me in the waiting area and then took my dog to this back room and I couldn’t go with him. Second red flag was it was so empty ( no other patients) and they booked us in so soon ( when all other places had long waiting lists). Unfortunately, I ignored these red flags and went ahead based on the low cost. At the post op the vet was instantly very rude to me as he was not happy with how everything was healing. He accused me of taking the e collar off my dog and that my dog was licking and said it was my fault it all looks bad, it has nothing to do with his work. I told him that I hadn’t taken it off and he kept arguing with me. He has absolutely no bedside manners, he was talking to me in a condescending and inappropriate manner. He then proceeded to yell at his vet tech and also talk to her in a condescending way. Yelling at her for not being able to hold my 70 pound dog up, telling her to grip him harder and don’t let him squirm as he is yelping in pain. He then proceeded to put staples on his incision where his dew claws were removed since the first time he only put one stitch therefore they were not able to close and heal. I could hear my dog screaming from the pain and his receptionist was turning up the volume on the tv trying to drown out the cries of my dog. At the initial meeting he said it’s not about the money it’s about the animal, boy was he ever lying. He didn’t treat my dog with any sense of love or care. If you look at Zakis history, he has been jumping from place to place ( probably keeps getting fired) . Whatever you do, don’t bring your pets here! It’s not worth it to save a few bucks

We've had Labradors for more than 30 Years and Dr. Zak is the best We've seen by far. Very caring and compassionate, explains every option in detail. Not many out there like him. Highly recommended.

We’re very happy with Dr. Zak and the staff at Parkside. We’ve been battling an allergy that just doesn’t want to go away and Dr. Zak has provided fantastic, empathetic care to both our cat as well as her worried humans.As an animal owner of more than 30 years, I can recommend Dr. Zak as one of the best small animal vets I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.
