I had Abdul as an instructor. He was an amazing instructor. I left the course feeling very confident in my first aid and CPR abilities.

Not very accountable. I was scheduled to work during CPR, AED, First Aid Training. I called and left a message to reschedule providing much more than 48 hours notice. Following the training session I did not attend, I received certification… I followed-up attending the physical location, I was told I could not have a refund and offered to reschedule a training session. Not the place I want to receive my education from… but I can’t have a refund.

Abdul was the instructor for the EFA-C course I took at the Greenwood location in Windsor. It was a great experience.

Worst experience ever. I had received news that I may have been in contact with Covid the night before my scheduled course. (And yes it was stated that 48 hr notice is required or there is a chance of a fee for cancellation) I emailed them and told my situation, which then lead to a cancellation fee. I asked politely - what should I have done? Shown up to the class with potentially having Covid and spread to the entire class? Last time I checked if you have any symptoms and or possibly have contact with someone with Covid that you are not to leave your house and quarantine. Yes, unfortunately this left me in a bind. They didn’t recognize my concerns or apparently do not care about spreading Covid to other people and told me that no matter what I will be charged a cancellation fee. Mind you I didn’t want to cancel but to just reschedule. I still need the course, and told them that. They still did not care, took the cancellation fee (which is almost half) and said I can reschedule. When I asked how long I have to schedule a class (I work as a psw and have weird hours and work every other weekend, sometimes every weekend and they only offer weekend classes ) that my money is only good for 3 months and they would still be taking more of money of what’s left and if I don’t schedule a class within 3 months, they will keep all of my money…. So my solution to this should have been to just show up with potential Covid and spread it everyone (is the impression I received from the company) and when I asked them to give me a refund they said no…. So also conflicting information. Very awful experience and will not be going to them for future cpr and first aid classes. They are not understanding and do not follow Covid guidelines. They just want your money. I have never in my life left any sort of review that is negative, but to not have any guidelines set for Covid precautions blows my mind. I don’t make a lot of money so to take half of what I paid out of my own pocket to take this course and to be screwed around over something completely out my control…. What if I had a heart attack? Dog bite? Was rushed to the hospital… because there wasn’t a 48 hr notice to them of your personal issues they just get to keep your money? Not to mention, no phone calls, they would only email me. Do not book with them. Find another company.

The course information listed on their website was initially a bit confusing, but the owner updated it to prevent others from running into the same issue I did. However, I am still out $50 which is dropping the rating of my review.The actual course had good information, and the instructor presented it well, but it felt slightly rushed. They send you an email prior to the in-class training that says lunch is to be eaten outside of the facility, yet they don't give you anytime for lunch or even bathroom breaks. Either remove this information, as it's misleading, or extend the class by 15-30 minutes to give people time to use the washroom, have a snack/lunch, and/or wash your hands in-between some of the training devices we touched. 4 hours is a long time to sit still.

I took the CPR/First Aid class last week and am so impressed with the entire process. From booking the class, to being in the class itself, to the instructor. Booking my time was such a breeze. I had to do the first part of the course online at home. The flow and layout of the modules was fantastic. Easy to follow and they checked your knowledge every module, so you know you have a good handle on the information presented to you. The in-class portion was wonderful as well. They did a review of the at-home portion and showed videos or in-person demonstrations. The building was extremely clean and organized and the classroom was very comfortable to be in. The instructor presented the information clearly, was open to all of our questions, and only went as fast or as slow as we needed him to on a topic. Even though it was an 8 hour class, it really did go by much quicker than I expected it to. Over all, super happy with the whole process and would recommend to anyone needing a certificate.
