Dropped me during the the pandemic at the end of my renewal causing problems to find work with my trucks& equipment .The broker came back with a outrageous quote of 16,000.00's dollars to be paid up front with no payment plan so l hunted and saved myself 10,000.00 dollars but not all my other trucks & equipment is insured

I had a fire last April and lost my condo , it wasn’t the fire that took me down but the it was the water damageI pretty much had everything written off , home gym , appliances , most furniture etcI was there 3 days after the fire and seen with my own two eyes what was damaged etcWe are talking water logged beds , amps , water literally coming through the ceiling of my condo because the fire occurred right above my basement suitepuddles on my tile floor etc ….I thought it was a straight forward open and shut case ….I mean after all that’s what I pay for right ?!?!!….. to be covered for something that is out of my control !!!They sent my wet electronics to a company that didn’t even inspect the interior of tv’s guitars amps and told me the TVs and amps and all my pedals were literally restorable , I wasn’t happy with thatSo I called Brian Reimer audio where the had sent my electronics and found out the don’t do interior inspections, anyone with a brain will figure out water and electronics don’t go well together !!!!After fighting for months to get another opinion and setting up new qualified vendors for my stuff to be delivered, they told me I could not use them because they weren’t on there list of vendors , so they sent me to one of their vendors ( how convenient)Same results ( I was there guys , I touched all my stuff , it wasn’t just wet it was soaked )They sent me a cleaned list , pots and pans , clothes and all that I get man no worries give ‘em backBut when I’m getting a guitar amp back with rust because they don’t want to replace it , then we have a problemI reached out to my adjuster Kyle Fisher to help me outDidn’t seem to care since they passed my file onto Q.A adjusting , don’t deal with them either , takes 3 to weeks to get a call backBuy your insurance from somewhere else guyslove your little response below , called multiple times , stop pretending you actually care when all you do is take hard working people’s money and don’t stand behind your policy , get some integrity

I had house insurance and all my rental properties with wawanesa . One of the property was vandalised. They offered substandard fix to broken windows . I mean less then minimum building code. I left for insurer out of province. Half price and better service.

Definitely not reliable. The claim supervisor Renilo and his team unprofessional , there so many stories i can tell ,same with the other comments “my house damage is getting worst, for their delayed actions. We felt like we're being scammed by wawanesa. Just getting our monthly payment and not helping us to fix the problem.Welcome anyone or media want to know more i can provide everything including my email conversation then you will definitely not choosing this insurance company.

We had a fire in our condominium building and we have contents insurance through Wawanesa. They did a good job reimbursing us for replacement living costs. However, once our building was ready to move back in, we drained our savings account restocking and purchasing furniture that was destroyed in the fire. We submitted receipts for everything that already had been approved by our adjuster on Aug 12. On Sept 2, we still had not received a reimbursement so I called the adjuster who informed me he had approved and submitted a request for payment from Wawanesa already. We assumed a cheque was on the way. On Sept 15, I contacted the adjuster again to let him know that I have a disability, that I need expensive medical equipment which I cannot purchase until Wawanesa reimbursed us for the items we purchased. His reply was only that he did his job and it was now up to Wawanesa to decide to write a cheque. I complained again to the adjuster on Oct 11. On Oct 17, I finally found out how to contact Wawanesa’s customer service. I explained that I have a disability and that I have been approved for a service dog, but I don’t have the money for the down payment for the dog because Wawanesa is withholding our reimbursement. And that it is ONLY Wawanesa that is keeping me from getting my service dog. My quality of life has been unnecessarily low for over 2 months because Wawanesa is taking their sweet time reimbursing us and making interest off the money they owe. There is no reason to withhold our money like this. Customer service assured me that someone from claims would contact me right away. That was 5 days ago. I am not the only person in our condo building who had contents insurance through Wawanesa and who is now struggling to get Wawanesa to hold up their end of the deal. Their unwillingness to reimburse in a timely manner has caused undue stress to me and my family and has delayed my acquisition of a service dog to help improve my quality of life. When a company draws things out for their own benefit, eventually they’re going to hurt their customers pretty badly. It doesn’t seem like an appropriate risk.Don’t bother giving me some generic apology. It won’t help. Send the cheque.

Terrible customer service. Having a policy for 7 years prior with a different company with 0 issues wawanessa has only been a headache. Finally switched and would never go back. Also would never reccommend.They also share your information. Privacy is definitely not their priority.

I noticed a little late , this company is best called 'Legal thieves'.Do not buy insurance with this company , Calgary based companies like this are well documented for using every loophole they can to refuse a claim. When it comes to claim, you will be sorry you used them.

Got thief broke into my house back in March, 2020. I called the police at the same day and claimed to this company at the next day. Now it is July, i still didn't get anything back from this company. No response from the one taking care of my case. I guess she is taking holidays while customers are waiting for help. Do not recommend this company at all.
