Sturgeon River Ranch

Highlight of my summer. Sturgeon river ranch is always an incredible time. If your visiting Saskatchewan or a long time resident, this 100% should be one of your plans this year.

A truly unique way to see the west side of Prince Albert National Park. Had an extraordinary experience watching the northern lights on my overnight stay. Once in a lifetime kind of trip - I'd recommend to anyone!

We had an absolute blast at Sturgeon River Ranch. Staff was extremely friendly & welcoming. Horses were extremely friendly as well. The ride was absolutely beautiful, meals were delicious & in plenty. John was a great guide, he is very knowledgable about the outdoors & taught us a lot about certain plants & animals. He is also quite funny & always cracking jokes. Definitely will be booking another trip!

The place to be amazing peaceful with a beautiful view. Great hospitality with many options for sleeping. Can pitch a tent, stay in or bring your camper or stay in the ranch house. Animals are well taken care of and easy to ride. Noémie she is French quebecois girl guide there also for those that has trouble with English like me ;) very appreciated... I came here for a trail ride with my partner and I have to admit it was amazing! Had Trevor and Naomi(I believe) and they were so amazing. I got to ride Red and he was a go, go boy and I loved that! We got to see a black bear cub and the wild bison and our guides were so calm so it made it easier to be relaxed! Trevor knew so much and was a lot of fun to talk as we rode and explained everything that we were seeing etc. Was the best ride I've ever been on and I will definitely be coming back and will bring our kids for the overnight! I highly recommend this place and will to anyone who likes to ride and wants a great experience!

This was hands down the most exceptional horseback riding experience I've ever had, and believe me, I've ridden horses all over the world. The trails they offer are truly mesmerizing, taking you through some of the most stunning landscapes imaginable. Their kindness and genuine hospitality make you feel instantly at ease.There is something truly magical about riding within the confines of a national park, traversing its rolling hills, passing by picturesque ponds, and breathing in the invigorating, fresh air. The horses themselves are a testament to their exceptional care. I booked my granddaughter and daughter-in-law for a trail ride this summer while we were at the lake. The whole experience was stellar from the easy booking process to the knowledgeable and friendly, supportive staff. They had a wonderful ride and look forward to returning any time we go back to the lake. We highly recommend it, a wonderful experience.

Did a trail ride with my kids. Had an enjoyable day. We were able to get a good look at the free ranging bison. Horses were a bit ornery but overall a fun experience.
