Allure Body Bar - Toronto's Best Waxing

Update- definitely not as impressed as I used to be. The new girls are not trained as well and I will only go see senior staff. There is no reason I should have to come back for corrective waxing services from new staff. I also love an hour easy of the city and it is incredibly inconvenient to do so. I will not be seeing any new staff they bring in. The training and quality of care from new employees is not up to the same par.Update- last time I was there the front desk staff scheduled my appointment wrong. When I received the email stating so I emailed back right away to change the appointment for my proper date and time. I did not receive a reply at all. I waited a few days, as someone should have gotten back to me. I had to follow up again to have them tell me that they couldn’t accommodate my appointment time. I’ve been a regular client here for over 5 years so needless to say I’m not impressed, especially since it wasn’t my error and no one replied to my email. Poor customer service.The changes over the past year or so have been disappointing as a loyal client. The only reason I have continued to come here is because of Luba and Autumn.Previous review: I’ve been going to Allure for years and will continue to do so. even after moving away from Toronto, I still make the almost hour drive in to get my waxing services done here.its very clean, which is obviously important. The staff are all friendly, knowledgable and professional. For waxing services I highly recommend visiting Allure!Thank you ladies!

This place is alright. Been here a few times and was never uncomfortable. Only thing that prevents me from coming here every time I need a wax is that sometimes the girls will miss patches of my leg hair as I’m blonde and it’s harder to see I guess. I know it’s not an intentional mistake so I never say anything. Other than that the service and space is lovely.

Stefania did an amazing job at making my entire experience great. Quick, efficient, very comfortable. Will be coming back.

Always great for a quick wax, they almost always have same day availability. Stefania is great, she was very kind and made me feel so comfortable. Highly recommend her, especially if you like kpop

This was the worst wax I’ve ever had. I’ve been getting waxed for over 2 years and this is by far the worst. I’m new to the city so I’ve been trying to find a regular wax bar which is why I gave allure a try but tbh I wish u hadn’t. The staff was nice but didn’t go out of their way or anything. The washroom was tiny and uncomfortable and the service itself was also uncomfortable. After the service I had baby powder all over my clothes and when I got home I realized that there was hair missed. It was very fast as advertised but I’d rather a long appointment if it means a better experience.

Awesome spot with a fantastic staff! Everyone is very sweet and Robyn always does a fantastic job on my brows! For sure recommend checking out.

I used to go here a few month ago when Nina was working here and at that time it wasn't an amazing experience. I went here last month and I kind of felt uncomfortable. I tried to make small talk with her and it was mainly one word answers, didn't really seem friendly or wanting to talk. Not a great experience

I had to change this to a 2 star from 5 after my realization of service quality. I tried a different waxing place today and was happy and got the best experience for money I spent. It was little more expensive than this one but this time with a male personnel.I was new to waxing and this was my first place to try. I had an awkward experience with first girl here and thought maybe it is always like that at spas. I gave this place 2 more shots and got same kind of service. The bad reviews here couldn’t be more real.1. The girls are untrained for customer service.2. They do rush the service.I used to have my arms waxed here. It is ok not to talk to the customer for the whole session but you need to build that bond with a person when you are touching their body. It becomes really awkward and uncomfortable otherwise. It was as if I was getting paid to get waxed and I had to go through the attitude (lol).Maybe it was a different experience for others here because they were white. I might be wrong here but they need to understand that this kind of service would put anyone at doubt. I do not want to play the race card here but I see other women of color complaining about service the same way I did. Maybe they need to train their staff to be able to bond with customers from different backgrounds.Summary:1. I do not recommend this for men. Thats right gentlemen, you deserve respect at a place where you pay money for something you could do at home (not as efficiently though)2. Service is OK. It is rushed though, and you will not feel comfortable.3. The prices are very reasonable but I tipped well.4. They also provide laser hair removal at discounted rates, if you like this place it probably is one of the sweet deals you will get. Unsure about the results though because I did not take it here.
