Kevin and Christabel foster a fun, friendly atmosphere in their various dance lesson series. Whether you've never danced before... or you want to increase your repertoire they have a level that's right for you.The moves are all broken down in a way that makes sense... even if you have two left feet.Red Hot Swing is definitely a springboard for new or experienced dancers to get connected to the Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Charleston (aka Swing) community of Victoria.The lessons are currently 110% Covid / health orders compliant.Pre-Covid Red Hot Swing hosted a variety of weekly social dances. The dances were 'all ages' / family friendly/ inclusive gatherings. Often times there is live music as well.There are a lot of great dance opportunities in Victoria... I never learned partner dance before and I wondered what style would be a good fit for me. A friend of mine suggested I should check on Red Hot Swing as they teach all levels of swing dance. I started slowly, once a week with drop-in classes and I carried on week after week, from one level to another. Six month later, swing dancing became my new normal.Kevin and Christabel are the reason this transition went so smooth. They are well organized instructors, who take good care about every segment of the process of learning. Don't worry if you don't have a partner, because they'll find it for you; they'll show you steps as many times it's needed; and they'll keep you motivated by building your trust in your own abilities.Since I became their client, I found joy in expressing myself and inspiration to keep moving forward. Their classes led me to enter some new places, discover a big community of dance lovers and enjoy nights filled with great live music.If you're new to dance or new to Victoria, joining their school would make your world bigger and more amusing.

Friday night dances help me close out my week in the most fun way possible. Drop in dance lesson starts at 8:00 till 8:45. Live music starts at 8:45 till 11:30. Hosts Kevin and Cristabel will have you swinging in no time. Will you be good with a 3/4 hour class? Heck no! But you will have a blast! Check out their website for lessons.
