Newly signed up to services here and Dereka was very helpful and informative. If she is not already the manager, she deserves a promotion.Upon checking Google I am seeing some negative reviews here mentioning price increases, and I will update in the future once we have been here a few months.

First off, Derreka was super polite and prompt in multi-tasking and taking care of our needs and other customers all at once. She was efficient in getting us signed up and showing us around, and made me feel comfortable. Superior customer service is high on my list of good impressions, and Derreka met the mark!The units themselves are very clean and the facilities are brand new. The elevator is huge and there are rolling carts near the entrances for your convenience. You can enter with a code without needing to talk to anyone in the office, and the hours are decent - 6 am to 10 pm access. We love that the units are climate controlled and the location is right off the 401.As for pricing, it seems reasonable, but I did see a comment saying they might raise your rates. We only plan to be here a few months, so hopefully I won't need to worry about that.

My husband and I had two storage units at the Oshawa location. The units were clean, well lit and the access times were really flexible given our busy scheduled. The office staff were always friendly and eager to help with a cheerful smile. I would confidently recommend SmartStop storage. Thank you for helping to make our move a smooth process!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Dereka - customer service rep - who was truly outstanding in every way. She was friendly and welcoming, making me feel valued as a customer.She was extremely helpful, going above and beyond to ensure that all my questions were answered and that I received the assistance I needed. She was very informative, patiently explaining all the details and options available to me.She remained courteous and professional, treating me with respect and kindness. She truly cared about my satisfaction and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that I had a positive experience as a first time storage renter.

Ive been with them since Oct 2021. At first it was amazing. Nicole is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond. The units are smaller than advertised though I ended up having to leave majority of my items behind. I wasnt told that every 6 months my price goes up and my payments always bounced because of this. Was told they sent mail which never happened and never get emails about increases. Now they have a new computer system that doesn't take my money for my unit so I have to physically call every first to have my account paid. There's not enough dollies. Some dont work properly. Ive been finding lots of spiders in my unit also. Other than that I can access it whenever I need to.

Beautiful facility, and the prices aren't bad either. The only thing I do have a problem with is their administration. When I signed up, I brought a void cheque for payments. I was told they would not accept that, but that when I pay with my debit card for the first and last upfront, they would save that information and use it for each payment going forward (I never heard of this being a thing, but gave them the benefit of the doubt). Imagine my surprise when I get a notice in the mail (not my email like I asked), saying I was behind on a payment. I called in right away and paid with my credit card, and when I asked if they can accept monthly withdrawals from my bank instead of my credit card, the lady on the phone said No

Sure it's a new building but elevators are always broken they only have 6 carts in the building. Most people hide them in there units so good luck having a cart to use. They say they won't buy more because they cost $800 lol... been here for 6 months my rent has went up over $100 there's garbage everywhere every time I come here. I'm so happy to be leaving never again!!!! Good luck to anyone who rents here hope you have a better experience then me

Have been looking all over the area for a storage unit. Happened to come across SmartStop and made the purchase. Dereka was amazing. she helped us with finding the right size unit we needed, was very friendly and polite. Couldn’t have asked for a better first experience.
