Great place to get away for fishing, great people, and good times had by everyone!

Been going here for many many years! Fishing is top notch as long as you know where to go! Service is crazy great as well, the dock set up is amazing and he will let you use his private dock free of charge! I enjoy staying in the rustic cabin, it's all you need for a great weekend. Highly highly recommended for angling!!

Wow! Great place to stay if you are in the Big River area....clean cabins nice people and keeps us nice and warm when it's so cold out the whiskey freezes.-50 on our stay....see you next year

Great resort with pretty much anything you need to enjoy the outdoors. They have cabin rentals from rustic 2 bedroom with stove and fridge up to modern 3 bedroom cabins with full bathroom and 3 double beds. Modern cabins include satellite tv. Very limited spots for campers or Rvs as most spots are occupied by seasonal campers (60+). Step out of the cabins and find yourself able to rent boats( 3 tiers : 10hp,40hp and a pontoon available). The fishing never disappoints and you can find the owners in the fish shack almost daily filleting fish for customers(extra charge). Great environment to spend a weekend to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. Cell service is only mainly available in a few spots of the resort. Definitely recommend and give 2 thumbs up!

Poplar Point Resort is an awesome place to launch your boat and get out on Cowan for some successful fishing. The main building has really nice bathrooms and a shower, the staff is lovely, and the campsite is on a gorgeous point surrounded by lake. Great place to spend some days having a fun and relaxing weekend!
