Ottawa South Midwives

I have had 2 experiences with the Ottawa South Midwives, and I think they are an absolutely incredible team. I have had a chance to meet several of the midwives, and felt that each of them truly cared. My main midwife for my recent birth was Libby, and I thought her care was extraordinary. I felt so comfortable, and would recommend them to absolutely anyone. Keep up the great work!

Best decision I made. Liliane provided the most amazing care with her student at the time Gaelle. They made me feel so comfortable and listened too. I would do it all over again.

I want to give a huge thank you to Val and the whole team for taking me on as their client. She listened to my concerns and supported me with my choices. She took care of me like a family member would. I will never forget what all of you did for me.

Khadija and Lilianne were my Maurice’s for my 1st birth and it was just phenomenal care. Khadija was my midwife for my 2 briths after that and I cannot say enough about her. The level of patience, knowledge, care and comfort you get I received is unmatched.I cannot thank khadija and the OSM team enough. Thank you!

I looked into midwifery care after a traumatic experience following the birth of my first child. I wanted a more personal approach, someone who would care about me as much as my baby, and someone who could advocate for me if necessary.I contacted Ottawa South Midwives and was matched with Nicole. From our very first conversation she made me feel like she understood my needs. We came up with a plan to address my concerns and she was very supportive and understanding.Even though my second birth experience also didn’t go as planned Nicole was always there for me. She went above and beyond what was required of her, taking extra time to talk to me and ensuring I had the resources I needed to seek further support during my postpartum period. Having the midwives do home visits in the first few weeks was infinitely better than having to go to a clinic.I would not hesitate to recommend Ottawa South Midwives to anyone. I wish that the level of care I received was the standard for every woman giving birth.

This review is long overdue but I had my son in April 2022 and Lauren was my main midwife who followed me throughout my whole pregnancy. She made my experience amazing, she was attentive, always answered my many questions, and always there whenever I needed her. Lauren and Jenny (student) were there for my birth and they made the experience go so smoothly all while keeping me calm and doing everything so that my baby made a smooth entrance into the world! Kailee also came at the end of my labour to care for me and the baby after he was born. She was so nice and caring as well. Charlotte came for my aftercare home visits. She was so kind and knowledgeable. I’m so glad I went with Ottawa south midwife’s and that I got matched with Lauren! I will definitely be back if I have another baby.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Ottawa South Midwives! Nicole was my primary midwife and she is absolutely amazing. She always made me feel comfortable, is very knowledgeable, and is always available to answer any questions. Charlotte and Libby were there for the labour and delivery, and they were also fantastic! It was the most positive, most amazing experience I could ask for. They were so gentle, made sure everything went smoothly and took such great care of baby and me. Nicole and Charlotte attended the postpartum home visits - the one on one care that I’ve received from them is unmatched. The front admin staff is also very friendly and welcoming. I am recommending OSM to all my family and friends. It has truly been the most wonderful experience!

Absolutely amazing experience. From the first visit to our last we received exceptional care. Our midwives were always available for questions and concerns. My birth experience was made all the smoother through their knowledge, kindness and presence.

If you’re thinking about choosing a midwife as your health care provider during pregnancy, do it! Liliane was my amazing midwife. She was so incredibly kind, professional, knowledgeable, and funny! She was truly like a mother to me. This was my first pregnancy so I had a lot of questions, but Liliane was so patient with me and was also very reassuring. Helen and Lauren were also wonderful to work with during my labour and delivery. My husband and I felt so at ease every step of the way. Finally, the postpartum care (in the comfort of my own home), was one of the best parts of my experience. I cannot imagine having to sit in a car and walk around to visit an OBGYN’s office after a vaginal birth, ouch! Thank you so much to the entire team at Ottawa South Midwives. I will definitely be back for future pregnancies (InshAllah). Bye for now! :)
