Lake Edge Cottages

So happy we found Lake Edge Cottages. It was our first visit, and will not be the last!We were greeted by Anne, who walked us through the cabin. We later met Steve (Anne's husband) and their son Jacob.We had a wonderful 2 night stay, we stayed in Reigning Cats and Dogs. The cabin was cozy, very clean, and had everything we needed.We enjoyed all the amenities, we walked the trail, used the paddle boat, kayak and canoe. We brought our boat and there is a boat launch on site.We had fun filled days, and enjoyed a dip in the hot tub to end the night.We enjoyed our stay so much, we were tempted to stay an extra night, but sadly we had to return to the city, because work.Unfortunately for us, they're booked for the rest of the summer but will be booking a stay in the fall.Well done, Lake Edge Cottages! Highly recommend!

Lake Edge cottages is such an amazing cottage resort. They have everything you could think of from beautiful lake views, great fishing, in ground swimming pool, hot tubs, Wi-Fi, camp fires, lots of space to explore and so on! It is conveniently located in Lakefield which is a little town filled with tons of shops and boutiques. To top it off, Lake Edge cottages is dog / pet friendly! I would absolutely recommend this cottage resort to EVERYONE as it offers a wide range of attractions for all. Truly a 5 start experience. Thank you Anne, Steve and Jake. Can’t wait for next year!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Kawartha Suite. Hosts Anne, Steve, and Jakob made us feel right at home. Watching the sunset in the evening from our private hot tub was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The cabins at the foot of the lake are quaint, charming and rustic with an absolutely stunning view of the lake. Theyre very comfortable, and cozy.The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and will do their very best to make your stay comfortable.Canoes, paddle boats etc are offered if youd like to spend the day on the lake.A lovely well kept pool is available as are hot tubs for certain units.We spent a peaceful week and were sad to leave . Its a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature.It is child and pet friendly with a large area with easy access to the lake.We enjoy our time there and would recommend it whole-heartedly.

Our stay at Lake Edge Cottages was perfect. The cottage was fully stocked with everything we could need for the week. We stayed in Dog Daze which is a 2 bedroom and big enough that my family of 4 with 2 nearly adult kids didn't feel cramped. We loved the gated front deck for our 2 little dogs. I have to mention the hot water was definitely hot and had great water pressure. The grounds are beautifully manicured and very clean. Pets are welcome and fortunately everyone cleaned up after their dogs. We brought our pontoon boat and it fit perfectly on the dock right out front of our cottage. The trent waterway is goes right through the lake we were on. This can be both fun to see the big boats and a bit of a pain as the water can get rough. We chose to find it fun and got out there on the kayaks and just enjoyed the lake. Our hosts Steve, Anne and Jacob were extremely nice and welcoming. Anne's mom was very pleasant and I'm sad to say I did not get her name. We explored as much of the area that we could. The turtle pond is lovely just make sure you're fully covered or the mosquitos will feast on you. The pool is so clean and perfect if you're not a lake swimmer like me. We had a great time and will be back. Just an FYI if you bring a boat make sure to back it down the road!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Lake Edge Cottages. The Kawartha Suite was extremely clean and had everything we needed for our one week stay. The hosts (Steve, Anne & Jakob) were so helpful with their advice on things to see and do.We had a very relaxing and lovely time. Our favourite experiences were many: fishing off the canoe/rowboat, kayaking around the marsh, birdwatching (spying on the osprey nest with their hatchlings and watching the osprey swoop down to catch a fish on the lake), watching the beautiful sunset over the lake, taking the pontoon out to explore the lake, and sneaking out late at night to look at the millions of beautiful stars that we never get to see in the city. So glad we found a welcoming place for our dogs to join us: they had a great time swimming, running amok in the sandbar, and riding in the pontoon boat. Overall, it was just what we needed for a peaceful break from the city. We were so sad to leave. Highly recommend this family and dog-friendly cottage resort.

Beautiful Location with great amenities that are well-maintained. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful in providing friendly services. Anyone looking for an ideal getaway should definitely check out Lake Edge Cottages.

Amazing location with great cottages and amenities. So many different activities available within a beautiful part of the Kawartha Lakes. Great for families and people with dogs as they are pet friendly! Would definitely recommend.
