Sport Chek

Spent over an hour trying on shoes, there were many staff but too busy talking amongst themselves. Not once in over an hour did staff ask if I needed help or offer services. A really long line for check out, the manger was helping the cashier then instead of continuing to help with the long line he just left and worked on merchandising some racks and endcap?? Very disappointing experience.

Had great service from Kendall very friendly and helpful. She helped me with my items and I’m very happy with them. Great service!

Love this store and all the variety of clothing, athletic wear, and sports equipment! They are great quality with nice and friendly employees. The only thing I would change is their prices. I would love if they were more affordable for the average person. However, I know they provide the utmost quality so the prices are more understandable.

This review is mainly targeted at the winter sports section staff during my last visit.I was trying on some goggles for snowboarding and a staff came over to see if I needed help. I was mainly looking around just getting a good fit. The staff had great input and was very knowledgeable and helped me out a lot to narrow down my choices. They also were great Informing me about upcoming sales etc so that I can get the best deal and not just spend money in the store! Really like this location every time I go.

Saturday 10am. There is 2 people working the entire store. Went in to sharpen my skates. The service technician was not in today. No one else knows how to use the machine. Another customer also left after not being helped with the ski section as no one was around.

Danny is really amazing. I came to this store on June 14th after seeing the discount event for GT bicycles on Sportchek's website. The whole Calgary area was basically out of stock, so even though I live in the north, I braved the strong winds and heavy rain to come to this southernmost store. When I entered the store, I found out that they didn't have the color and size I liked. I approached a staff who called Danny to help me. Danny searched for a long time in the warehouse and even helped me communicate with other stores over the phone when I mentioned that my language skills were not very good. Although I couldn't find the inventory at this store in the end, with his help, I was able to purchase 2 mountain bikes I liked at the Chinook store. All in all, he was really patient and helpful. Purchased a bike here and was told to come back later in the afternoon for pick up. Confirmation email with a time stamp for the same day date and time. Spent 3-4 hours wasting time in the area as we do not live close by. Returned at time to pick up the bike waited over 20 minutes in line to see the staff building the bike leave. Once we were helped they said the bike was unable to be completed (you could see it in the stand that is was almost fully complete) and that we would have to return in 3 DAYS!!!Asked if there was anything they could do to compensate for the major mess up and they said “no sorry”AVOID!!Complete lack of customer service.

Maxim who works in the bicycle section was truly helpful, kind and very patient. He spent the time and effort to do the job and I had no feeling I wasted my time going there and consulting with him. As for the other staff that repair bike and sell them. Some where rude and where hiding and couldn't wait to leave work. Max is a great employee and a asset to Sportchek. I am a business owner and I know when there is integrity in a person. Thanks Max and the night manager for giving us time to recieve a great mountain bike.

Really disappointed with my visit today. Was there when store opened to get my skate sharpened as well as my young son's. The staff who works the counter both came in right at ten, and definitely looked rough from the night before. That's fine, everyone was young once. The tech talked to me and clearly didn't care about the conversation, asked how quickly I needed the skates. I said we had a game soon and needed them quickly, but he didn't need to rush. He said he needed an hour which seemed like he was padding his time a bit but I said that's ok. Came back after 75 minutes and he had quite clearly forgot. He told me that he forgot without apology, and told me that he needed ten minutes for our two pairs. When I came back he gave me the wrong pair of skates and again no apology. I've had a decent relationship with sportchek over the years(review would be 4 stars just for the store itself) , and will use the store for merchandise still in the future, but after a few similar experiences with the service desk I won't be bringing skates here again, and would advise anyone else to find another option for skates too

It was my first visit in this store and the last one. Sale assistant Elly was arrogant, behaved inappropriate, answered: So what" on my question if they have another bottle in this color with intact paper label
