Le Petit Boeuf
The food is amazingly delicious. The carpaccio is sooooo good, the roast squash is perfect and our rare steak is perfect rare. The staff were so nice and accommodating, my friends and I were on a time crunch and they really came through with getting us in, fed and out in the time we needed.I would definitely return and recommend the little ox.

This replaced Suzette. Same owners. We had a mostly great experience- not quite perfect, but very good. First, the service with our lovely Croatian server Stella could not have been better. She is knowledgeable and very kind. Service was prompt and very well-timed. We ordered the heirloom tomato salad and the côte de boeuf, which is for two and which weighs a very hefty 1.2 kg of grass-fed Alberta beef. With that dish we had two sauces and two potatoes- this was a massive amount of food and that included the outstanding complimentary bread and butter (bread from Yann's), so despite the rather hefty charge ($154 including tax and a well-earned 20% tip for Stella), we felt the that the money was on the plate. The outstanding dishes were the tomato salad and dining companion's pomme puree; in fact, I would have been happy with only those two things. The salad was majestic, with dollops of goat cheese that made it just perfect. The mash- stunning. Somewhat less successful was the beef and the potatoes I ordered, which were the pommes dauphine. I misunderstood what these were; they are in fact a mash that has puff pastry worked into them and then they are deep-fried; for all my experience with this, which is to say none whatsoever, it might have been done perfectly, but neither of us cared for them. The steak, which came with two (choice among four) sauces was delicious but a bit tough in parts- that's grass-fed beef and I did enjoy it but companion wasn't thrilled.I'll be back; that tomato salad haunts me, but I will try something different.

Super delicious and well priced bistro! Beautiful balance of french focused vegetarian to pair against the deliciously prepared beef. Squash, Ratatouille and Beef Check were incredible... Will be back for more!

Le Petit Boeuf
We dined at Le Petite Boeuf early on a Friday night and it was sufficiently busy. The space is in what used to be Suzette’s bistro (although I believe they still have a Brittania location close by). It is casually decorated with pops of reds and is open, warm and inviting for a French steakhouse.First off, our server was absolutely fantastic. I wish I could recall her name but she was effervescent and made the dining experience fantastic. You can definitely tell that a server of her caliber is a seasoned professional. She made great recommendations and made us feel immediately at ease.In terms of the food, I would have to say that the beef was fantastic and everything else ranged from good to great, hence the 4 star rating. We started with the duck ravioli which was much lighter than expected. The food gras interior was well balanced but we found the ravioli a bit too al dente. The mixed mushroom fricasse had good, creamy flavours but it was salty. We shared the cote de bouef for our main which came with accompanying sides of potato and sauces. It was done to a perfect medium rare and you can definitely taste the quality of the meat. The pommes Dauphine was fantastic - little puffs with a crisp but light exterior and a soft, mashed potato interior (our server called them “fun potatoes!”). On the other hand, the gratin was a bit salty for my liking.Overall, I would definitely give this place a try for fantastic Alberta prime steak. I regret not going with more of our server’s recommendations such as the four gras torchon! I’m not a big steak person so undecided as to if I’d be back, but I wI’ll be recommending this place for others to try.

Le Petit Boeuf
Outstanding dinning experience. We would not expect any sort of average experience from the owners of Cassis Bistro and Suzette. They did not disappoint.A great quality Alberta Beef paired with french taste is what this city was missing.Don't skip on the dessert. The chocolate mousse is equally delicious. The service was smooth, fast and very professional.

Le Petit Boeuf
Too expensive for a very very average quality/quantity food. Really disappointing. There is a real problem, maybe you need to spend your money for a 50$ minimum dish to get something acceptable. Don't trust these 5 stars reviews, either fake or people don't know what they are talking about.

Le Petit Boeuf
This new restaurant was busy and the interior was simple in design. The meat entrees are large in size but it was pleasant to see classic French potato dishes as a side. We both had the Chateaubriand and cooked perfectly. If split an appetizer and dessert between the two of you and with the main course and a bottle of wine. The bill will still be over CND $200

Enjoyed our date, next to the large windows with a view of 4th street. The salmon was cooked to near perfection, really moist, combined with a great sauce (great for dipping the accompanied bagget). Paired with brussel sprouts and vino, great meal overall. Service was good, prices on the higher side.

I love the idea of a steakhouse with a french touch. We had the bone marrow and beef carpaccio to start and they were both really good. For the mains we had the Signature dish and Wagyu striploin. The quality and flavor of the food was top notch. The meat was so tender it melts in your mouth. I have no complaints about the food or the service and I would absolutely will be going again. A new fav
