Alex built our deck for us and we could not be happier we went with Pulsar Construction. From start to finish the experience was really good and Alex took such time and care with the construction - like he was building his own deck. Could not recommend Pulsar enough to anyone looking for a quality deck!

The purchase and installation of a new hot tub led to a Google search to find a qualified builder to design and construct not only an aesthetically pleasing hot tub deck enclosure, but also a deck that would provide safe and easy access. My husband and I are extremely grateful that our Google search led us to Pulsar Construction. We thank the many people who have taken the time to share their reviews on Google, Houzz, and HomeStars as it made our decision to make a contract with Alex an easy one. We contacted Alex via his website and his prompt follow up was appreciated. When he visited our home, he took the time to explain our options, show us samples, and to suggest a lower ground level deck that would tie into the hot tub deck enclosure, making our sloped and smaller back yard far more useable. After his site inspection, Alex provided an incredibly detailed drawing and quote. We opted for the full design option consisting of both the hot tub and lower back yard decks, and we could not be more pleased. For materials, we selected the TimberTech Azek Polymer Decking Vintage Collection in English Walnut with accent picture framing around the decks in Dark Hickory and we are in love with the finished result! This Polymer decking material is amazing: we love that it does not get uncomfortably hot in the sun and the textured grain is perfect for the hot tub application as well as our climate in B.C. Alex has an engineering background and his meticulous attention to detail has truly left us in awe. Throughout the project, he and his helper provided great communication. The job site was always clean and tidy and the final clean up perfect. A true craftsman, Alex has built us a safe hot tub deck enclosure and a lower ground extension which will allow our family to enjoy our backyard in a way that was not possible before. Big thanks to Alex and Pulsar Construction for this visually stunning project that has been built to stand the test of time!!

Very satisfied with Pulsar Construction!!Working with Alex to design and complete our new deck was easy and straightforward. Alex was professional in all aspects dealing with our needs. He explained the process needed to build the deck to last and followed through from start to finish. Once started Alex was here almost everyday, 2 weeks later the job was complete. The level of craftsmanship was superb, every board lined up,straight and level as seen in the pictures. I have absolute confidence in Pulsar Construction and would not hesitate to recommend them for your construction needs.

We are so happy with our new deck, and it turned out way better than we could have imagined. Alex and his helper did such an amazing job, from start to finish I always felt like I was informed and part of the process. From the original design to the finished product, Alex always was communicating how progress was going. After getting three quotes for my project, I knew Pulsar was the clear choice after I received their quote (although not lowest) I could tell that Alex was going to be very meticulous during the building process. His quote was the only one with a detailed drawing of the plan, even right down to each location of the footings! Looking forward to spending the summer entertaining on our deck!

Composite Deck - back yardAlex came out the day after I requested a quote to replace our aging back deck. After listening to what we wanted he took a lot of time to explain what would, and what wouldn't work well. He offered a variety of suggestions and options, and then provided a very thorough quote for a composite deck.Alex displayed a professionalism we haven't seen from many contractors. Every day we were provided with an update on the work done, and at the end of the day told what to expect the next day. Alex's work reflects care and attention to every aspect of the job - his tools are cleaned and stored daily, the work site left tidied and the customer informed.Pulsar Construction created a deck for us that is more functional, has more usable space and looks amazing.
